I am very much an introvert and my toddler is the complete opposite. She makes friends everywhere she goes. Nursery said the same thing when she first started that she went straight in and played with the older children. Same thing happens a lot at soft play, we would go with friends and one of our friend’s little girl is very shy so she will stay with my little one the whole time but my little one will happily make friends with other children. Like today we went out with the same friend and they were playing whiles we were chatting. Later that evening my husband ask my little one how was soft play and what did she do, my little one explained she was playing with A (my friend’s little one) but A wasn’t interested on playing the game she wanted to play but her other friends (friends she made at soft play today) wanted to so she played with them for a bit then she said A wanted to play so she played with A for the rest of the time. I feel like for a 3 year old she has a lot more social skills than I do. Even in shops if the cashier starts talking to her, she would happily starts chatting back. I’m so happy she’s has that level of confidence, sometimes I feel like I’m forced into conversations with other adults because of my toddler. 😭🥲

Hey!! December 2022 girl here aswell and she is the most outgoing girl I have met aswell ! Very akward for me as I’m so quiet she even makes convos with elderly women on the bus the whole bus journey and I’m just sat there as my awkward self becuase I don’t really want to interact 🤣 it’s amazing but as you said forces me to be extroverted aswell which is a first for me !🤣 xx

Yes my 3 year old girl is extremely social and vocal, a little bossy too …n im kind of an introvert as well.
She picks up stuff and learns words from tv/people and surprises me all the time lol I get sooo much to learn from her. 😅 my mom is the same
What age/ weeks is it okay to take a newborn out of the house?
Christmas is my favorite time of the year and my baby will be born 2 weeks before Christmas. It’s my family in Milton Keynes turn to host Christmas this year and I live in Surrey. I badly want to attend the Christmas party as I haven’t had a proper Christmas in about 5 years.
I don’t want to risk my baby being around that many people. I also would have to take a train there as I don’t drive and I don’t know how fussy the baby will be. I know I don’t have to go but I was just wandering if anyone has any tips or advice cause I would love to have a lovely Christmas with my new born rather than be alone at home with my husband😭

For those who have seen and commented on my last post about my husband and the lack of taking care of our son me and him had a very long talk about it and essentially I told him if he does it start helping or doing better I am taking our son and leaving and apparently that got through to him very clearly and I gave him one last chance I had to go to an appointment that was about an hour and a half to two hours long the place was like right down the road from my house so I walked there and walked back because I like walking but I gave that time to my husband to see if he has the chance of actually stepping up or not and he did extremely well our son was in a clean diaper and was happy and fed and later on that night I went back and watched our baby monitor and he was actually doing what I asked him to do so clearly I got through to him but Idk if I can day I fully trust him yet

Anyone who weaned their baby at 5 months, did you consult the health visitor first? My baby can’t take anymore milk during feeds without projectile vomiting and so we introduced banana puree and a bit of baby porridge and he’s so much happier and not vomiting so much obvs this is so much better for us as he would normally be wanting more milk but he can’t handle it and ends up projectile vomiting. I know they will try and convince me to wait so don’t really want to consult them but just wondering if anyone has started weaning and not told them? or had any issues with not telling them?
Thankssss

We’ve gone to the children’s ER and urgent care , no answers. For most of the week my year-old has been having high fevers and really fussy and nonstop crying had on off diarrhea and doesn’t want to eat at all, and barely drinks much. She keeps pointing to her mouth, but can’t communicate what’s wrong to her teeth. Look OK from this photo?
