Nursery with a breastfed contact baby

So today my daughter started nursery officially. She's 10.5 months old, exclusively breastfed and a contact baby day and night. Shes also the most social happiest baby ever.

Nap time was to be expected. She was easy to bounce to sleep, but impossible to transfer so only managed a 20 minute morning nap. She drank no milk from the bottle or cup, but was fantastic with her solids and ate all her lunch.

She only had a half day 8:30 till 1, but fell asleep in the buggy within minutes of leaving.

Those of you with a breastfed contact baby who is impossible to transfer and attends nursery, how is it going? Are your babies struggling? Does it get better? She'll start full days eventually but I'm just worried that she wont get any sleep.

My super velcro, EBF, contact nap/cosleeping clinger of a baby is currently in nursery for 3 full days a week. It's a struggle to get him to nap but they're managing with varying results. Today, he's had a 30 min nap, last week he slept for 1.5 hrs. They did manage to transfer him, once he had a contact nap (note that they won't be able to do this anymore from September).

I gave up on bottle and formula since he won't take any, so I feed him in the morning (and all night long lately!) and when he gets home but he's eating there with no issues.

This actually sounds really good for her first day! It's a massive change and it takes some getting used to but the fact she fell asleep and ate her food sounds to me like a great start :)
My velcro first baby started at 14mo and she never had anything other than water and food at nursery, and very quickly started going down for naps by herself despite continuing to only contact nap with me.

Honestly, the first couple of weeks are the hardest, then it gets better as they find their new rhythm! Xx

Breastfeeding

So I see that a lot of moms on here are exclusively breastfeeding and I wanted to know was it hard for you the first little bit and I assume it eventually gets easier and at what point is that? I’m 4 wks pp and some days I feel like I’m getting the hang of it but other days I’m like maybe I should just pump or give formula and nothing wrong with that a few months in I did that with my first. But I really wanna give it a proper shot this time

Please give me all tips and tricks that worked for you sometimes my baby keeps falling asleep at the breast every 4-5 m so I feel like I’m constantly feeding her. Nothing wakes her up not diaper changes, not tickling or applying cold she just wakes up like half an hour later and I’m feeding her again. So for times like that I get so frustrated she’s not getting a full feed at the boob

Anyways just wondering if it ever gets easier, less painful, faster and you become more confident because I’m already 4 weeks and don’t feel that

Advice for baby sleeping not on me at night please 🙏

Baby is only a few days old but refuses to go into basket over night. During the day he doesn’t seem to mind but no matter how long I hold him for after a feed at night he screams the second I put him down.
My husband tried to take him for me just now so I could get even an hours sleep but he screamed until back on me again straight away.
Even though again day time will happily have cuddles with Dad.

Any advice at all as I don’t know how my body will actually recover if I’m up over 20 hours a day 😵‍💫

Tell me...

I need to know all the secrets Mama especially those mamas who are over the age of 35. During postpartum did you have a problem with shedding like your hair constantly falling out or thinning? No matter what I do or take or anything my hair will not go back to being full again. I haven't had full hair since my second oldest daughter was born. I'm on birth control. I take prenatals I use anti thinning hair care system. I'm doing it all. I'm getting stressed out because this is crap. What are your go-to secrets now? I'm going to say this as a n FYI I have psoriasis on my scalp due to allergies so I need sensitive friendly
