Problems with pumping??

Hi everyone, ftm mum here so very new to all this! Ive chosen to combi feed with both breast and expressed milk and was advised by the midwife to breastfeed, then pump after. Ive done this in total 3 times now but it seems that only when I pump, then at my babys next feed, she isnt as full and cries for more and my boobs dont seem as full. She's always content after a feed when I havent pumped, it seems that pumping is just depleting my milk supply and my milk supply isnt building back up in time for her next feed if that makes sense? Am I doing it wrong or is this normal??

I wouldn’t say you’re doing anything wrong ❤️

I think it’s really common what you’re noticing. When you BF then pump, you’re removing extra milk so it’s normal to feel emptier for the next feed whilst you’re still getting established. I don’t think your supply will be dropping, it just hasn’t had time to refill. I personally BF first then only pump 5-10 mins if I still feel full or firm. I pump 20 mins per day and try to power pump for 3 days in a row every now and then 😊 x

Tell me...

I need to know all the secrets Mama especially those mamas who are over the age of 35. During postpartum did you have a problem with shedding like your hair constantly falling out or thinning? No matter what I do or take or anything my hair will not go back to being full again. I haven't had full hair since my second oldest daughter was born. I'm on birth control. I take prenatals I use anti thinning hair care system. I'm doing it all. I'm getting stressed out because this is crap. What are your go-to secrets now? I'm going to say this as a n FYI I have psoriasis on my scalp due to allergies so I need sensitive friendly

Crying on wake ups

My son is one year now & the last couple nights he wakes up crying or winging slightly but it doesn’t even last a minute and he’s straight back to sleep… then happy as anything when he wakes up… any ideas what this could be. He had his jabs on Friday but thankfully they went really well and hasn’t had signs apart from a temp on the Saturday. He’s done this once before too but it went away so I’m unsure as to what this could be

He doesn’t have milk through the night and very rarely poo’s through the night too.

Thanks!

Good baby

I just wanna see if there’s any mums who are actually having a good time with happy
Babies that sleep well. Eat well. Play well ?
I feel like I’m shamed in mum groups when I don’t share the same problems. I know we’re lucky. And we take each day as it comes. There’s been ups and downs but she is a happy baby who isn’t much trouble. But I’ll scared to say the truth in mum groups because they all look so judgey and cross that she’s just an easier baby than my friends. I don’t take it for granted. Like I said we take each day as it comes knowing our luck could run out but I’m tired of being shamed for it. I have a good baby. She sleeps 12 hrs at night without waking. She eats well. She’s so bright and meeting milestones early. She naps in the day and rarely scream cries.
Don’t get me wrong. The first few weeks were rough but I just wanna be able to share that she’s good I’m good and not feel shamed to share it.

Baby won't be put down - any tips?

My baby will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and she won't sleep unless she's being held. My husband has been letting her sleep on him until about 12/1am and then I take her and between feeds we cosleep with her safely in our bed. But for the last few nights she isn't happy cosleeping either and only wants to held so none of us are sleeping. My husbands back at work now and I've got a toddler to look after too so we're just exhausted. How do people get their babies to sleep in their moses basket? Or even any tips for cosleeping again? I'm just so shattered and what we're currently doing just isn't sustainable 😩

Rapid cool

Can you use the rapid cool with the hot shot method?
New to all this… can you put a hot shot into the baby bottle, add the formula and then use the rapid cool with the remaining water? Or will it still make the bottle too hot as it’s got the hot shot in?
