Hi moms! Is anyone’s baby now they’re nearly two struggling with sleep more than ever? My little guy has never been great, but lately the evening put down is taking hours. He screams and screams and needs to be held for a long time. We’ve tried everything including co-sleeping and sleep training over the years. Now I’m wondering if it’s the length of his nap and his wake window before bed.
Could you please share how long your toddlers are napping for at lunch and what their wake window is before bed? 🙏

Also nearly two, fought sleep from day 1. Resists naps and needs to have hand held to go to sleep
Recently switched over to a floor bed, more space, no more hitting head on crib, blanket and bed in general more comfortable
First wake window : 5-5.5 hours
Naps for 1-1.5 hours
Wake window before sleep 5.5-6 hours
( did 4 rounds of sleep trainings, but the separation anxiety now is like no other, completely reversed it all)

My son is a hyper active kid he fights his naps and fight bed time like if I even try to put him in bed at 8:30 it won’t happen and he will still be awake till he decides he wants to go to sleep and it changes depending on what time his nap lands but if I try to make him take a nap before 4 he won’t he will just stay awake till he decides to take a nap it’s a big huge cycle and his naps are for 2 to 3 hours long but I can’t cut his naps short because then he is fussy all day and I won’t be able to get anything done I already get very few things done your not Alone when it comes to hawing a toddler with sleeping problems

Literally just went through this with my son. He's never been a great sleeper but got better after sleeping training until about a month ago he started waking up in the middle of the night, screaming when going down, and would only be rocked to sleep, nothing else. This is what we did, not sure if all or some of it helped:
- raised the temp in the house a bit (we'd recently lost the sleep sac in favor of a blanket and thought he might be cold)
-adjusted nap earlier to 11:30 go up to his room, in crib by 12 (previous was around 1, he wakes up around 6/6:30 most days)
-cut nap off at 2:30
-6:30 head up to get ready for bed, in crib by 7
-in the half hour before sleep (11-11:30 and 6-6:30) at least one of us had to be 100% focused on our son, no screens, no cleaning, just playing with him
-changed out the hatch sound machine he'd had since he was a baby for a star projector and his Tony with the lullaby lamb
He goes to sleep like a dream, better than he ever has before! Hope it helps!!

Adding: we did have to sleep train slightly again after the changes, but went much better than before

Thank you all so much this is so helpful!!!
Is it normal for a baby to constantly poo when they start weaning? My daughter is pooing so much since we started weaning last week, as in every nappy has some amount of poo in it. Just want to make sure this is normal before contacting doctors etc

My son is 2 years and 6 months he can say alot of words me and his dad can make out what he's saying and he has improved a lot since starting nursery in January
However I know I shouldn't compare but when I see kids his age, they're speaking in sentences, can directly ask for what they want, and their communication is much more stronger. However, my son has great understanding and can follow instructions. His speech is not clear, but people can understand him. I don't know what I can do to support him further and I don't know if I should be concerned enough to take him to the doctors. I've taken him to the doctors before and they said that because he can understand things, he will eventually pick up more words and start saying sentences. This was when he was 2 years old.

I’m finding my 2 week old will feed on the breast for 5-10 minutes and then pull off? She’s putting on weight and otherwise healthy but it worries that it’s such short amount of time and then she’ll sleep for few hours.
Has anyone else found this?
Thanks!

Should I invest in a bottle washer? We do not have a dishwasher. I am looking between the Mum cozy and the baby breeza (I’m from Australia, options are limited) thoughts?

My LO is 11 weeks old and she is so hard to get to sleep at night time. We don’t follow a set routine and follow her cues. She will contact nap throughout the day but naps are pretty inconsistent and if I try to transfer her she will wake up and cry straight away.
At night time she is so tired and fighting sleep so hard, we will give her a bottle or boob and she will be fast asleep but the second we put her in the cot she is wide awake and crying hysterically, but she will fall back asleep on me or her dad. Once she has been asleep on one of us for an hour to 2 hours we can then put her in her cot and she will sleep thought the night.
Any advice to get her sleep in her cot with out 1/2 contact sleep on a night time?
