any one have like extreme mom guilt over the little things?? i feel like a horrible mother sometimes because my kids love spaghetti ohs chicken nuggets and mac and cheese and often times they have those things multiple times a week. i see all those cool fancy meals people make their kids with avocado toast and blueberry muffins and all that and i look at my kids plates and feel like shit. my youngest looked disappointed almost with his dinner tonight and immediately the mom guilt set in. i tried taking my kids to the playground today with my husband and we left after 30 minutes because my husbands allergies got so bad he was having a hard time getting a deep breath in. my oldest started crying so bad when we told him we had to go home. i obviously didn’t place blame on my husband just said it was time to go but i felt horrible. we barely ever get out of the house and the one time we do it’s for barely any time. all those moms on tiktok or ig have all these cool adventures and fun activities and healthy but fun meals and im over here giving my kids the basics and feeling horrible for it

honestly you’re being way too hard on yourself kids don’t care about aesthetic meals or what they see on tiktok they just care that they’re fed and loved. nuggets and mac and cheese is just real life not being a bad mum.
social media makes it look like everyone’s doing all these perfect meals and fun days out but it’s not real most of the time. no one posts the stressful bits or when things don’t go to plan.
you still took them out today and you cared when they were upset and you’re even worrying about this in the first place that already shows you’re a good mum who’s doing her best

I get it so bad too, the house was a mess yesterday and I felt awful for letting him play by himself so I got done with three rooms got exhausted and sat in the room with him playing with him. I wish I could have a clone lol but even then I'd feel horrible 😂

Those aesthetic moms have no jobs & i guarentee you do things off camera that youd never do to ur kids. No mom is perfect! Give urself some grace♡
my baby daddy went mad at me as he found out i was ‘using his child maintenance’ to buy nappies from Aldi/Lidl instead of buying Pampers. Valid or is he being as ridiculous as I feel like he is? 😂

I’m Belgian but lives the UK. Everyone around me is taking a week off of work to potty train their child.
As in, they’re using a week of precious annual leave for this, and then they don’t leave the house for days, quite literally locking themselves inside with their kid bum-naked, and « potty train ».
NO ONE does that where I come from. Potty training is seen as a longer, more organic process.
If you’re not British, can you say whether most people take days off to do potty training where you come from / where you live?

How are you guys handling having to send your kids to daycare or having a nanny?
I’m a first time mom and I’m terrified of anyone watching her but me. My daughter will be four months when I go back to work but with how the world is today and all the viruses and sicknesses I just don’t trust anyone.

LO is turning 2 and testing boundries and my other half shouts at her to tell her off where as I’d rather explain things so she understands. I then have a go at him for shouting and we end up arguing over it because he thinks I’m too soft. Anyone else have these issues or just me?

I’m supposed to go back to work soon with a fully remote wfh position. Customer service but with no calls. My baby is absolutely so low management. He can play and spend so long by himself as long as I’m the room and the only fussiness starts during the night or when he s due a feed. I’m still a little worried about it but is anyone in a similar position? How are you handling it and making it work?
