Anyone else's 8 week old sleep for 5/6 hours for first chunk of sleep at night, then waking up every 1/2 hours after that? And suddenly so noisy during that hour sleep your getting?
I'm basically awake from 3am with 10 min naps between until I give up at 6/7 and we up for day. He used to sleep from 8 until 3 then until 7/8.
It's exhausting 😴

Yes same here. I thought the sleep was getting better but now it is getting worse . It seems like he has a build up of gas but I don’t what I can do to help him. Slowly losing my mind

Yes my 8 week old does 4/5 hours for first chunk then wakes every 2 hours - but spends those 2 hours like grunting and straining and moving around so I can never fall back to sleep!

Yes past week his been sleeping from 7:30 for 6-8.5 hours then his up every 2-3 hours after that. His 8 weeks in couple of days. Last night he woke up 12:50 ish and for first time he went back to sleep himself at 1:50 in his crib but was then in bed with us at 4:30 🤦♀️😂

Yeah the first sleep window is a long one then 2 hours after that. It is definitely digestion related for my little boy.

Yes the exact same! I have had to use ear plugs 😆

Yep! 3 or 4 hours in a block to start then more like 1 or 2 hours and a feed, last night I was up at 2, 3-4:30 then my toddler came through at 5 😭 babys still asleep though but same as most of the others he's writhing and farting 🤣

Look up farmyard hours, it’s very normal and it’s when their digestion kind of kicks back in for the day so they can get quite gassy etc again. Promise it doesn’t last forever x

Glad everyone is the same its so hard!!! Zz
My LG (2.5) has always been a great sleeper. She still naps during the day, usually for anywhere between 1.5–3 hours, but lately she’s been fighting her naps and they’re getting later and later. But when shes gone, shes sparko!
We’ve had a few days recently where she hasn’t napped at all, and if she’s kept busy, she gets delirious by the end of the day before sleeping from 7pm–6am.
However, if we’re having a quieter day at home or I can’t get out, she might finally nap from 1–3pm. I try not to let her nap that late because it pushes bedtime back to around 10pm, but I also don’t want to keep her awake when she’s clearly exhausted, whinging and in need of sleep.
Does anyone have any tips for gently waking a toddler from a nap so they don’t sleep for so long? Or is it time to drop naps altogether? Alternatively, how can I get her back into the routine of napping from 12–2pm like she used to?
I know she obviously still needs the sleep, but our days are now starting at 5am, and I’m struggling to work out what’s best for her. I'm also aware the clocks go back soon which will fuck me even more. Shes up from 5/6am. She has so much energy and we play from the moment she opens her eyes till bedtime.
For context, I also have a 6-month-old who sleeps amazingly from 8pm–7am. This then means I sort my toddler out and have to wait upstairs until my baby wakes up as transporting her downstairs will wake her unnaturally.

She’s too pushy and I’ve said no endless times. It’ll be very stressful for him. I don’t pump because I don’t like it and my baby doesn’t like bottles. I’m currently trying to break nurse-sleep association. It doesn’t make any sense to attempt a sleepover because it’ll be just stressful for baby and I. I just can’t be asked to keep saying NO. It’s almost harassment. I said it’ll eventually happen once I’m back to work, not while I’m in mat leave as I don’t want to be away from my son yet. How can I approach this in a friendly way? She’s just too much sometimes and I’ve been very friendly and open about the idea, but not about the timing.

Moms that travel; I’m taking my 1 y/o (21months ) on her first trip tomorrow . I’m dreading taking her car seat . What do you normally do if you don’t travel w/ your car seat ? Can you request a driver with one on ride share apps ?

1) how much sleep are you averaging at the moment? (I’m 3 weeks PP currently and baby is feeding every 3 hours, so getting 3 hours max of uninterrupted sleep)
2) are your babies really noisy and wriggly after night feeds but absolutely fine in the day?! If so, any tips please 🙏
3) following on from above really, how long does each feed take? Mine is up from about 1.5 hours from each feed so it’s sooo exhausting as she just won’t settled afterwards and is really wriggly/nosiy
Just wondering if I’m doing something wrong as I’m so tired and if the feeds were a bit quicker at night/could get her back down quicker it’d be so much better then I could actually sleep!
Thanks so much 🥰
