Finding things tough

Going through a real tough time at the moment. Baby is 4 months old and naps can be a struggle ..won't let me put them down and if I do it is only a 20/30 minute nap. Also with the bad weather I feel I can't get out for walk etc. feeling lost...my husband works quite long days and my mum is great but all my other friends don't have family or are working etc. Also miss the routine of work etc.

I’m sorry you’re feeling like this. Your feelings are completely valid. I’m also going through a battle with naps with my little one, I think it’s all part of the regression.
Can you join any local groups? The local libraries also run things for babies. Have you used peanut to connect with any mums in your area?
The weather should also be improving soon which will help getting out for walks. ❤️

We are also struggling to get in longer naps than 30mins so definitely feel you!! Not sure if it’s all part of the sleep regression as we’re struggling at night as well. Definitely try and make some pals on peanut or by going to classes. Having a couple things booked in each week helps me feel like I have some structure and also a sense of achievement at the end of the week that I miss from working! Take care x

Anyone else suffer with this

Hi, I had a c section 9 weeks ago. I was sterilized at the same time. I was discharged with a catheter because I couldn’t wee after the set time it was removed Two weeks later but I still have no sensation to go for a wee. Doctor referred me to the hospital to get checked over just wondering if anyone else suffered with this. And what the outcome was

C-section mums

Hi ladies, I had my c section 5 weeks ago. What's everyone's wound healing process been like? I've still got the occasional sharp pains and pulling sensations when I move certain ways. Is this normal?

Gall Bladder & Appendix Removal

I don’t suppose anyone else has had a c-section swiftly followed by appendix/gall bladder removal & can give a realistic idea of how long it’ll take to feel more normal again?

I’m 7w post c section & had both the above removed this week and currently feel like I’ve taken 10 steps back from a recovery point of view so would love to hear a real life experience!

Elective C-Sections

Is anyone else seriously considering having an elective c-section in an otherwise uncomplicated pregnancy? Whenever I talk to friends/family or my OB, I’m always met with slight prejudice on the fact that I’m considering this. It seems like a universal understanding that vaginal births are always better. However, I’m really struggling to understand why. When I think about affects on the mother, I know that C-sections are major abdominal surgeries and recovery time is longer, however the recovery is only temporary. With a C-section you significantly decrease your risk in long-term pelvic floor dysfunction, and completely avoid the inevitability of tearing in any degree, stretching, and any long-term adverse side effects that come with that. In weighing if I’d rather have long term scar tissue in my abdomen or…elsewhere, the choice seems obvious. Secondly, there is no question that c-sections are safer for your baby. And for the mother, although going through major surgery, the procedure is completed in 60 minutes or less in a fixed amount of time in a highly controlled environment. No unknown hours of labor, and god forbid, if something did go wrong, you’re already in the environment to address anything. I’m frustrated that I consistently need to defend myself when the choice seems rather obvious. Am I missing something? Is anyone else experiencing the same push back or same thought process?
