Baby boy concerns

Hey guys so weve battled acid reflux since baby boy was born. We We're told to try different formulas and we did that with no change. Still projectile vomiting. So we went back to the formula that was best for him. Since this we've fought with his pediatrician about medicine and finally was told " that's not what's wrong with him but ill send it in. So we got the medicine and been on it for 3 months . Hes does wonderful when he takes it but the pediatrician swears its 24 hrs but about 4 or 5 hrs after he takes it were back not keeping things down. So no I dont believe its 24 hrs. Any other moms had this issue and had a different outcome or how to get my baby some actually help and relief.?!

Have you sought a second opinion? And you can ask a pharmacist about the drug information to confirm.

Our daughter has acid reflux and we have been feeding her Enfamil A.R

Have you been referred to a GI specialist? You should try to do that or see if you can schedule an appointment by yourself for a second opinion

Have you looked into allergies? My son had bad reflux. Turns out he has a few allergies that cause it. For example CMPA and Caesin. Both are in many many formulas on the market.

I’m not sure if you need need the referral. I was in ª situation where I needed baby to go to gastroenterologist, I called a couple places where they didn’t ask the referral just a reason. Maybe you can try that and hopefully it works

Definitely don’t wait for a referral or permission! Start calling around and find someone who will listen and a Dr who will actually help you. It’s so frustrating but we have to advocate for our babies!!! LOUDLY and firmly.

Would also highly recommend finding someone near you who offers NAET allergy treatment! The testing is very easy and not at all invasive (no pricking or pokes or anything like that) and the results are absolutely incredible. Has worked wonders for my entire family, we all suffer from various allergies and this has cured legitimately all of them. DM me if you want to discuss more!

Inconsolable crying baby

Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.

Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?

Any suggestion is welcome 🫶🏻

10 month old starting tantrums?

So my recently turned 10 month old has just started throwing his head back and making his body rigid when he’s not happy about something - like being put in his play pen, being taken for a nappy change/ nap etc. I’m worried of him doing it and hitting his head hard or worse being dropped (he is very big and heavy) - there has been a few near misses already.

He has also bitten me a few times in the last month (he’s got opposing teeth so really hurts) - luckily that seems to be lessening.

Just wondering if others are/ did have similar experience with their LB? Is it normal to start tantrum type behaviour at this age? And if so how do you react to it?

2 year old waking up at night

If your toddler 2 years wakes up at night and you know it’s a regression and they’re not crying just making whining noises and other sounds would you go into his/her room or just wait for them to fall asleep again even if it takes up to an hour?

Traveling by car

FTM to a one month old and we want to travel to visit family so they can meet the baby. The drive is only 4 hours away but online keeps saying to take breaks etc because its dangerous to have the baby in a car seat for more than 2 hours at a time. Anyone been thru something similar? And what did you do?

Almost 5 months postpartum and feel terrible about myself

I just needed to rant and get this out.

I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.

I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.

And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!

I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.

Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?

BF to Formula

Has anyone made a switch overnight rather than a gradual change? If so how did your baby react. My baby girl is 3 months and I’m planning to switch. She’s exclusively bottle fed.
