Hi all, my baby is almost 6 weeks and in the past few days have been a real struggle as I breastfeed him, he temporarily falls asleep on me than suddenly wake up and cries non stop. No hunger or cold/warm temp or gassiness involved I believe - I tried also putting them in any position (on me as well), but nothing really works.
Quite sleep deprived therefore - both of us.
Anyone having something similar at month 2? How did you deal with it?
Any suggestion is welcome š«¶š»

Hi Laura.
Aw Iām sorry the sleep deprivation is really rough!
I find my little girl (9 weeks now) definitely gets over stimulated easily and then over tired and wonāt take a bottle so it becomes a vicious circle of crying because sheās hungry but wonāt take it š©
Whenās she really inconsolable I take her up to her room with a dim red light and the white noise on fairly loud and that helps her settle to take a feed then usually falls asleep š« xx

Look up āpurple cryingā. It peaks around this time unfortunately, nothing for it but time. Use headphones when it gets too much or leave baby in a safe space for a few minutes to take a breather x

Go to a different room, walk around the house. Step outside if itās safe to do so.. The change of atmosphere and sound/temperature usually helps to calm a crying baby x
We found our baby is a baby girl this weekend.. I have been convinced she was a girl the entire pregnancy so it wasnāt a shock at all but just hearing it officially⦠of course I love her and Iām not evil, itās just a lot to adjust and I am feeling really stressed and a bit sad really. I feel guilty that Iām not as excited as I should be and currently donāt want people to know because Iām not ready to be super happy about it yet.
I have always pictured my life with a son one day and, for very personal reasons and life experiences, I feel a lot of stress when thinking about protecting and raising a baby girl in this world which Iām sure people can relateā¦
I am worried about protecting her, I am worried about not feeling the same bond from her as a son, amongst a multitude of other things. I am not feeling excited to buy frilly dresses or go to dance classes and I know it will all settle and logically I wonāt imagine life without her and I do love her, itās just overwhelming me..
Any advice⦠šø

Hi mamas!!
Iām currently looking for cars as i go back to work in a few months.
I donāt want a huge car as i hate driving them but want a decent sized one to be able to fit all my babyās things - ie car seat with isofix and pram.
I only have 1 child but need something reliable.
Could you give me any suggestions? x

So my recently turned 10 month old has just started throwing his head back and making his body rigid when heās not happy about something - like being put in his play pen, being taken for a nappy change/ nap etc. Iām worried of him doing it and hitting his head hard or worse being dropped (he is very big and heavy) - there has been a few near misses already.
He has also bitten me a few times in the last month (heās got opposing teeth so really hurts) - luckily that seems to be lessening.
Just wondering if others are/ did have similar experience with their LB? Is it normal to start tantrum type behaviour at this age? And if so how do you react to it?

Has anyone made a switch overnight rather than a gradual change? If so how did your baby react. My baby girl is 3 months and Iām planning to switch. Sheās exclusively bottle fed.
