Hi mamas!!
I’m currently looking for cars as i go back to work in a few months.
I don’t want a huge car as i hate driving them but want a decent sized one to be able to fit all my baby’s things - ie car seat with isofix and pram.
I only have 1 child but need something reliable.
Could you give me any suggestions? x

Hey 👋
I replaced my car in march after having LO - I was looking for a car that would fit the pram easily but not an SUV type car - which they all seem to be these days! Also with good running costs.
I went for a Citroen c3 - has a decent boot - can fit the bugaboo chameleon 3 in there - and the isofix car seat just fine. Has 5 doors and is really good on running costs.
The other one I was looking at was a seat arona - a bit bigger boot space than the Citroen and had as a hire car abroad - nice to drive. Unsure on running costs.
Good luck in your search 🔍

We got a Mazda cx5 and love it, it is quite big though but very spacious and a reasonable price, went for a 22 plate, no need to buy new as kids just ruin it!;

I would just NOT recommend a Nissan Juke. I absolutely love my Juke, but it is a weird size. I find it hard to get a car seat in the back on a base, because the doors are quite small and the boot is tiny! It looks much bigger from outside

I have a Hyundai Tucson (old shape - prior to 2020), we have a big dog who goes in the boot and a pram that goes on the back seat🙈 ours has been very reliable, bought it when I was pregnant & we tow our caravan with it as well so it’s very well used
I’m looking for recommendations on a baby sling instead of a carrier or wrap, I’ve got both which my baby loves especially when it comes to nap time but it’s a mission getting on and off and she is getting heavier. I just want something quick and easy and didn’t know these even existed! She will be 2 months so not much neck control yet but is 12lbs 14oz, so conscious it needs to be decent for proper support.
Any mums have a sling that they’ve used from this age by any chance that they’ve loved?

We found our baby is a baby girl this weekend.. I have been convinced she was a girl the entire pregnancy so it wasn’t a shock at all but just hearing it officially… of course I love her and I’m not evil, it’s just a lot to adjust and I am feeling really stressed and a bit sad really. I feel guilty that I’m not as excited as I should be and currently don’t want people to know because I’m not ready to be super happy about it yet.
I have always pictured my life with a son one day and, for very personal reasons and life experiences, I feel a lot of stress when thinking about protecting and raising a baby girl in this world which I’m sure people can relate…
I am worried about protecting her, I am worried about not feeling the same bond from her as a son, amongst a multitude of other things. I am not feeling excited to buy frilly dresses or go to dance classes and I know it will all settle and logically I won’t imagine life without her and I do love her, it’s just overwhelming me..
Any advice… 🌸

Guys I’m struggling! I know all babies develop at different rates but should I be concerned? My boy is 15 months and is some ways he’s smashing it and in other ways he seems very behind! He can count to 10, started doing his abcs and can say alot of words, but he can’t say mama and Dosent use dada meaningfully, he can’t clap or wave but can walk, point and has started feeding himself, he can tell me
What noises alot of animals make and what they are but he 9 times out of 10 dosent answer to his name, but he will bring me books and toys and sit and read and play with me and struggles ALOT with food, it’s a struggle to get food in him most days but other days! At what point should I be worried!

When should I get worried that my son is showing little interest in crawling? He’s 8 months old? He’s great and sitting and has just started spinning when he sits but will refuse to go on his tummy.

My girl is 10 weeks today and still wants feeding mostly every 2 hours, sometimes every 90 minutes. At night she typically goes 5-6 hours. She is having 4oz feeds and formula fed. I had it in my head she should be going 3-4 hours or even starting to show some kind of pattern by now. I feel like feeding 4oz every 2 hours means she’s being over fed. Is anyone going through similar?
