Please tell me I'm not the only one....

My LO is 5weeks tomorrow and my lovely MIL has come round to look after her so I can have a nap now my husband has gone back to work, but I just can't sleep when I can hear her crying downstairs...
its like electric shocks going through my body!!
I've gone down twice to try to feed her to sleep but she keeps waking up 😭
Please tell me this isnt just me and also that it settles down over time as my god I need to sleep!!! šŸ™šŸ»

I was exactly the same with my son when he was born, probably for first 6-8 weeks or so. So exhausted, yet at the same time I remember couldn’t bare to leave him especially when crying🤣. It does settle. Hope u manage some rest.x

Completely relate to this - I was absolutely shattered and falling asleep sitting up but still couldn’t bare to leave him for a nap in case I missed something or he cried šŸ˜ā¤ļø it does get easier x

Is she's fed and content could she take her out for a walk, the pram would probably settle her more and you can actually have some peace?

I’d suggest a walk or ear plugs!

Yeah I couldn't even let my husband hold him downstairs if he was crying, there was no way I could sleep. It's normal/hormonal

Baby Sling Recommendations

I’m looking for recommendations on a baby sling instead of a carrier or wrap, I’ve got both which my baby loves especially when it comes to nap time but it’s a mission getting on and off and she is getting heavier. I just want something quick and easy and didn’t know these even existed! She will be 2 months so not much neck control yet but is 12lbs 14oz, so conscious it needs to be decent for proper support.

Any mums have a sling that they’ve used from this age by any chance that they’ve loved?

Struggling with gender..

We found our baby is a baby girl this weekend.. I have been convinced she was a girl the entire pregnancy so it wasn’t a shock at all but just hearing it officially… of course I love her and I’m not evil, it’s just a lot to adjust and I am feeling really stressed and a bit sad really. I feel guilty that I’m not as excited as I should be and currently don’t want people to know because I’m not ready to be super happy about it yet.

I have always pictured my life with a son one day and, for very personal reasons and life experiences, I feel a lot of stress when thinking about protecting and raising a baby girl in this world which I’m sure people can relate…

I am worried about protecting her, I am worried about not feeling the same bond from her as a son, amongst a multitude of other things. I am not feeling excited to buy frilly dresses or go to dance classes and I know it will all settle and logically I won’t imagine life without her and I do love her, it’s just overwhelming me..

Any advice… 🌸

should I be worried?

Guys I’m struggling! I know all babies develop at different rates but should I be concerned? My boy is 15 months and is some ways he’s smashing it and in other ways he seems very behind! He can count to 10, started doing his abcs and can say alot of words, but he can’t say mama and Dosent use dada meaningfully, he can’t clap or wave but can walk, point and has started feeding himself, he can tell me
What noises alot of animals make and what they are but he 9 times out of 10 dosent answer to his name, but he will bring me books and toys and sit and read and play with me and struggles ALOT with food, it’s a struggle to get food in him most days but other days! At what point should I be worried!

Crawling!

When should I get worried that my son is showing little interest in crawling? He’s 8 months old? He’s great and sitting and has just started spinning when he sits but will refuse to go on his tummy.

Anyone else’s baby still feeding every 2 hours?

My girl is 10 weeks today and still wants feeding mostly every 2 hours, sometimes every 90 minutes. At night she typically goes 5-6 hours. She is having 4oz feeds and formula fed. I had it in my head she should be going 3-4 hours or even starting to show some kind of pattern by now. I feel like feeding 4oz every 2 hours means she’s being over fed. Is anyone going through similar?
