Almost 5 months postpartum and feel terrible about myself

I just needed to rant and get this out.

I’m 5 months postpartum on the 21st and I have never felt so uncomfortable in my own skin. I look in the mirror and barely recognise myself.

I’ve tried different things, I’ve changed my hair, try doing my makeup, bought new clothes and it all seems to make me feel worse.

And the weird thing is, it’s not my c section scar or my stretch marks that are actually bothering me, I can admire they gave me my beautiful son. It’s literally EVERYTHING else about myself I just hate looking at myself in the mirror!

I don’t think it helps that I feel so lonely, I don’t feel like many people understand what I went through with my labour and what I’m going through MH wise now and just think I’m being ignorant but I physically don’t have the mental capacity to message people everyday and be in constant conversation but yet I crave human interaction and friends.

Does everyone feel this way at first and when does it go away?

Mama you have to give yourself timeee, you are only 5 months postpartum, your body has changed so much but you will feel yourself again soon, don’t spend your time worrying about the way u look I also feel the same but just learn to love your temporary new body after time you can start doing the things you love again and take time for yourself, it’s all a part of the journey and you are beautiful just the way you are, hope this helps x

I feel exactly the same and I’m 5 months pp on the 21st too! I just feel disgusting, clothes don’t look right, I feel ugly, I don’t know what to do with my hair because if it’s down baby just pulls it out of my head! I don’t feel like I have time to look after myself. I don’t have any pictures with my daughter because I hate the way I look and I know I will regret that further down the line 😢

I don’t have any advice but I completely get you!

Struggling with gender..

We found our baby is a baby girl this weekend.. I have been convinced she was a girl the entire pregnancy so it wasn’t a shock at all but just hearing it officially… of course I love her and I’m not evil, it’s just a lot to adjust and I am feeling really stressed and a bit sad really. I feel guilty that I’m not as excited as I should be and currently don’t want people to know because I’m not ready to be super happy about it yet.

I have always pictured my life with a son one day and, for very personal reasons and life experiences, I feel a lot of stress when thinking about protecting and raising a baby girl in this world which I’m sure people can relate…

I am worried about protecting her, I am worried about not feeling the same bond from her as a son, amongst a multitude of other things. I am not feeling excited to buy frilly dresses or go to dance classes and I know it will all settle and logically I won’t imagine life without her and I do love her, it’s just overwhelming me..

Any advice… 🌸

Footlong Penis🍆😮

Adding to all this penis talk lol
Don’t ask me how this came up but my husband was sharing his crazy patient surgery stories and randomly tells me about “the biggest penis he’s ever seen”. Reasonably I burst out laughing because those are words I never expected him to ever say 😅.
Anyways he goes on to tell me how before the surgery he meets with this patient, who goes on to tell him about STI’s and STD’s gotten due to his extensive sexual history.
My husband says when he was on the table it all clicked and he understood why this guy had so many girlfriends 😂🤣 he compared it to a footlong and is very clinical in general so I truly believe him.
All this to say I’m flabbergasted a penis that big even exists and I now need to know if anyone has had large penis run-ins with past partners?!

car recommendations!

Hi mamas!!

I’m currently looking for cars as i go back to work in a few months.

I don’t want a huge car as i hate driving them but want a decent sized one to be able to fit all my baby’s things - ie car seat with isofix and pram.

I only have 1 child but need something reliable.

Could you give me any suggestions? x
