I AM LOSING MY MARBLES!!! My son is refusing to potty train at all. He is straight up telling me “No”!
I’ve tried, candy, music, his favorite stuff animal showing him to go potty, the potty watch, stickers, the naked method( I hated this one). Is he not ready? He has to be ready! If anyone has any tips PLEASE!! HELP ME!

Girl I FEEL this! We have even tried the naked weekend thing and no luck! He has peed in the potty and in the yard lol a few times. But he just doesn’t care!

How old is he? I’ve tried a couple of times before my son turned 3 and he was the same. He turned 3 and March and it’s only been 5 days for me potty training him and he’s doing so well!
He may just need more time. A lot of people say it takes boys longer to potty train than girls.

He just turned 3 in March! :/

Mine turned 3 in March too and it’s going so bad. He’s my 3rd boy and the worst yet 😭 like actually send help

Hey there! We potty trained starting in January and my son also refused to the point of falling asleep because he was screaming and crying. DO NOT GIVE UP! At this age, it’s about control more than anything. It’s REALLY REALLY hard! But stick to your boundaries, be kind and supportive. Underwear didn’t work for my son but if you just leave him stark naked for a few days and let him recognize the feeling, he’ll eventually get it! You got this.

But what I did is showed him that I’m throwing away his diapers and in a way he could understand, explained, “no more diapers” “no more pee pee in pants” “we pee in the potty now” and only having him in underwear helps too and pull ups at nap time (similar to underwear to avoid confusion) and not changing him laying down if he has accidents (in the bathroom standing up or on potty only to also avoid confusion).
Straight to the potty after waking up from nap and night time.
Sitting down on potty for no more than 5 mins.
Setting timer for 30 mins after peeing. Shorten the timer each time he doesn’t pee to avoid accidents and start to familiarize yourself with signals for when he needs to pee/poop.
Letting him hear the timer and telling him it’s time to potty so he’ll learn what the timer means.
Reminding him constantly to try and pee/poop in the potty “no pee pee in underwear/pants”
Rewards EVERY successful potty trip.
I’ll even bribe him lol.
