For some children never. Sleep training goes against natural instincts/babies needs to be close to their caregiver.
Generally a good routine with suitable timings does better for sleeping through than sleep training does.

I didnt do sleep training but i noticed with my LO (13 months) if he naps after 4pm we usually have more wakes during the night. My night time routine is dinner for 6pm followed by a little play time, bath/wind down time from around 7pm and bed for 8 and i still feed him to sleep or else he climbs out of his cot or cries if i leave him to drop off independently. Ive noticed for the past few months he wont wake up til around 2am (4 if im lucky) so i call it a win. Good luck, it does slowly get easier

@Natalie the climbing out has only been since last week, its a cotbed so will take the sides off when I can make time
