4 hours sleep per night

I have worn my fitbit to see how much sleep I am really getting - 4hrs total, lots of broken segments. My 5 week old wakes frequently. How long can you survive on 4hrs sleep mentally !?

Well my baby is 8 months old almost 9 months and i still get 4 hours of sleep too! Sometimes its not even 4 hours straight because she will wake regularly to relatch (we co sleep and breastfeed) so i think mentally is possible to survive on this but it is hard. Try to nap in the day if you can!

Honestly, your body just learns to function on less sleep. Take naps where you can, accept help for the odd lie in etc. x

My first baby was like this and I just learnt to function on less hours of sleep. Took naps when I could as well x

Mine is 2.5yo and most nights I still only get 5 hours sleep and that's broken. I'm still here, albeit knackered 😂

Mine is 7 months and still waking loads. I reckon I'm getting around the same. Surviving solely on caffeine

My daughter was like this until she was about 18 months, gradually sleeping more until she started sleeping through the night just before she was 2. Your body and mind adapt to the lack of sleep but it feels so good when they eventually start sleeping through the night.

In the same position 7 months in, what helped me was to stop watching the clock during the nights (if you can) stay off your phone during the nights (makes it easier to go back to sleep) , nap during the day or let baby contact nap whilst you enjoy the cuddles and downtime x

How often are you breastfeeding after baby turned 1?

Health visitor said to reduce so it doesn't ruin appetite for food but just wondering how often others are doing it. Thanks x

Triple feeding

Looking for advice/ support re triple feeding. I have a 3 month old little boy. I was keen from the start to breastfeed him but things didn't really go as planned. I had an emergency csection, and i guess milk came in later than expected. Initially it was all ok, he was gaining weight as per normal, didn't loose much after 5 days.
It all went downhill from the 6 week review i had with the gp as he dropped half centile and gp advised i top up after each feed.
I was then referred to the infant feeding support team and they advised i start pumping 8 to 12 times per day and top up... started doing that straight away..
After a few weeks with no changes, i went private and was told my LO has a posterior tongue tie and was recommended to see an osteopath. We had the division done a week ago, saw the osteopath twice... and still no changes.. i feel like he is having more and more from the bottle. I am doing paced feeding with the bottle and he did gain weight in the meantime.. which seems to indicate that the triple feeding is working but i am so so tired of pumping all the time... does anyone have any success stories with the triple feeding? Does it ever end? Desperate to just exclusively breastfeed my lovely little one

Wake windows

Is anyone else's baby having really random awake and nap times? I know wake windows aren't a science and I only use them as a rough guide but my daughter (15 weeks) was working towards a nice 4 nap schedule with 1.5-1.75 hours between naps, lately we've gone back to 5 naps most days (she is a chronic cat napper) but the last few days its been all over the place! Today she had 30 min, then an hour awake, then 45 minutes, 90 min awake, 45 minutes, 2 hours awake and has just gone back to sleep again now. Anyone else?

Sleeeeeeeep

Hi everyone I am so tired like extremely exhausted and I don’t know what the heck is happening here
My baby is almost 6 months and ever since she was 4 months we basically forgot sleep lol she would wake up around 5 times in the night and now recently started waking up about 7-8 times imagine!! Every 1 hour or 1.5 she’d wake up and sometimes some milk will settle her sometimes she wants a whole rocking and bedtime routine which is impossible in the middle of the night with my eyes closed !!! I haven’t slept for nights and nights what is this’s!! Is it sleep regression still? Or is this it like she’s gonna be like this it’s a habit or what is happening here I feel miserable
