Vulnerable Post

Sometimes I just feel so lost because I just wanna soak in every moment of this newborn stage, but I also have to accept the reality that this is hard on my hormones and my nerves and my mental health and I have a sperm donor that refuses to acknowledge the importance of a mother and a newborn bond the importance of my milk supplementing her life source, the anxiety I feel trying to watch him, soothe her with frustration and confusion and him constantly being overwhelmed with her so I have to step in, but then on top of it, he wants to control me. He does everything in his power to make me feel more anxious instead of just helping in working together as a team he tries to control everything we go to the doctors office I ask him for my stroller in my car seat that I bought with my money because he didn’t even wanna accept paternity until she was born and he’s questioning me and making me feel like I can’t even take my daughter for a walk with my sister because he doesn’t feel as if it’s safe anything I do he wants to try to dictate every phone call I answer and he tries to mom it’s just truly sickening. I know that I had a baby with the wrong person and I knew that this was gonna be hard but every single day I wake up and I’m the bigger person because I wanna be cordial and have a coparenting relationship but at what cost he needs to learn to just back off me and my sister had this set up a security camera just to feel safe around him so that he can’t come in here and just act any way without it being documented and the fact that he has no control here drives him insane mind you he still has access he can come whenever he wants but at least wait till we wake up in the morning don’t try to force your way in here. Send a text. Say you’re heading this way. Let us know what the plan is, but don’t think that you’re gonna come in and just bully us.

Struggling to go out with baby

Hi! Ftm to a 3.5 month old and tbh haven’t really gone out of the house with baby except with my husband. I get really bad anxiety and the thought of going out alone with baby is so hard to handle.

I’m also embarrassed that I don’t even know how to use our stroller/car seat. I’ve tried practicing putting baby in and out of car seat and into car but I’m scared if I don’t know what to do if I can’t handle it by myself when I go out. Also haven’t met any mom friends.

And also wake windows? Naps? How do I deal with all this when going out? I just feel so lost and alone in this. Any advice or comments to know I’m not alone.

Baby routines

My baby is 14 weeks old and still in no routine as such. He typically goes to bed at 8.30-9pm and we have a wind down routine from 7pm. But he wakes up at different times and has never slept through. He doesn’t nap at the same time each day and everything is very much baby led. I read about people who have routines and their baby sleeps though.
What’s your experience? I feel like I’m quite a disorganised person and feel bad if it’s on me not being more structured!

Mam bottles sterilising

Hiya silly question…are we meant to clean the condensation from the mam bottles after self sterilising in the microwave?

Or do we assemble and put milk in as they are?

Please help, baby won’t sleep

My 4 week old baby sleeps pretty at night (we get 3x 3 hours), but during the day he is VERY difficult to get back to sleep. We have tried everything - white noise, rocking, patting, swaying, swaddle, dark calm environment, change of environment, skin to skin going for a walk, going for a drive, burping, relieving any gas etc. - it goes without saying that he well fed and in a clean nappy. We are pretty confident he does not have reflux or colic as it’s not like he is in pain. He will purple cry, sometimes for up to 5 hours and refuses to sleep.

Does anyone have any recommendations/different ideas we can try? I am mentally drained.
