4 year old Part time school ?

Hi ladies, I’m just curious if there’s an option to keep your 4 year old part time in school until they turn 5. I just feel it will be too much for her full time at first, I am a stay at home mum and she currently does pre school 1 day and 2 mornings a week. Thank you! ☺️

I'm probably in a different area to you, but where i am they would do a gradual build up to the normal times. In one of the pre-pre settings my daughter was at, they started in Sept and weren't in to their full time (of 2.5hrs) until around Christmas time!

Would this bother you?

So my Mum takes care of my bunny back home in Canada and anytime she picks up supplies I always pay her back within 1-2 days (takes time because of coming from a UK bank) she knows this... Yesterday she stated she picked some stuff up, so as usual I said I will be sending her money in 1-2 days to cover it. AFTER we had the convo I sent her a video of our son (her grandson) building a big tower out of mega blocks for the first time, she replied by sending me a photo of a receipt where she circled what I owe her... Again she knows and we already had the conversation prior to this, that as I ALWAYS do and have been doing for the last 2-3 years will pay her back. It bugged me because i was sharing a cute moment and she didn't even respond to what I sent and to top it off she hasn't video called him in 2+ months. Would this bother you? I would look at it differently if maybe I had a habit of not paying her back but I always do all the time and she knows this. It just pissed me off because the only time she ever sends a receipt is if I ask so I know how much to give her back.

Hard work

I have a 10 month old baby boy and he’s honestly such hard work constantly whinging, crying. Just sooooo clingy it’s a joke. I’m not starting to get fed up with him because it’s constant I need a break from him. I also have a 3yr old girl which she is an angel she’s such a good girl and always has been. She’s been nothing like what my boy has been like. Is it just a boy thing that are such hard work or am I just an unlucky one.

Do you agree? Unpopular opinion…Men can change.

Me and my husband have been together and over the last 3 years we hated each other. He was a horrible husband and only a fun dad. I was doing ALL the work. And we barely had sex I felt like I was BEGGING him, it was pathetic. I also am the breadwinner. I was tired of doing everything. I told him all the time I don’t feel like you love me or want me and that hurts the worst. I asked for a separation on Jan 28th 2026. I finally realized he does love me when that happened…he got a reality check when people started congratulating me. Since then he took over giving all 3 kids a bath, cooks 3 nights a week. Is taking our 3 and 4 year old to t ball and practicing with them everyday after daycare. Being a very active husband and father. We have been having sex consistently again and last night he told me I have been really sexy to him lately. I can’t tell you how good that felt. Do you think men can change?

Puree??

I don’t normally use puree but I was given it so I tried it, he loved it but he only had half, do I have to bin the rest or can I use it for his dinner too.? It’ll be about 4-5 hours in between, he’s 6.5 months

Difficult 1 year old

So I know it’s fairly normal developmental behaviour but I’m struggling. My son was a dream of a baby but since he turned 1 one (he’s 20 months), life has just become so hard. It feels like a fight every few minutes. To get in the pram, in the car seat, for snacks, to go outside when he can’t, to change his nappy, to get him dressed, to get to things he shouldn’t. And I’m pretty chill. But it’s constant screaming and tears and thrashing and I’m finding it so hard, especially physically on my body as he’s a big boy. Me and my partner are fortunately able to keep pretty measured even when we went to scream ourselves and we are talking him through things but he hasn’t really started communicating yet. I’m not sure what else we can do, I know it will end one day but it’s making life miserable, we’re struggling to enjoy him which makes me sad and we’re struggling to do anything that we used to do because of the fear of it.

Am I overreacting?

My partner works long hours and by end of the week is so exhausted however I still need help with our 7month old. Tonight I was showering her and needed his help and was yelling out, no response and called him heaps of times and eventually he came. I just got frustrated because he knows I’m in the shower with her and didn’t even come back to check on me to make sure I didn’t need any help. I brought up the issue with him and he goes ‘I’m sick of being whinged at and nothing I even do is good enough’.

We were then driving to dinner and he’s sitting in the back seat with our baby and she was screaming (she hates the car seat) and think he got overwhelmed with it all. I’m so annoyed with him and wish he’d understand my feelings. I feel like he just doesn’t care sometimes. Am I overthinking and overreacting about this?
