I just recently had my baby girl December 23rd, 2025, and I wasn’t able to keep her due to financial reasons and wanting the best life for her giving her up for adoption was one of the most hardest decisions ever, and I have no friends during this time of grief. It was an open adoption I can still visit and get pictures of her milestones, but apart of me wish I would’ve kept her. Am I a bad mother because in that moment I thought I was doing what was best for her, but now I feel horrible like I didn’t even try. This has been so hard on me. I ask God for strength everyday, but this is a decision I have to live with for the rest of my life. 🥺

I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I can feel how much love you have for your daughter just from your words alone.
Making that kind of decision doesn’t come from a place of selfishness—it comes from wanting the absolute best for her, even when it breaks your own heart. That’s not being a bad mother… that’s being an incredibly selfless one.
I truly believe God sees your heart in this, and I’m praying He gives you strength and peace day by day. You didn’t make this decision lightly—you made it out of love, and that matters more than anything.
One day, she will understand the depth of your love and the sacrifice you made for her.
Be gentle with yourself. You made the best decision you could with the love and strength you had in that moment. That doesn’t make you weak—it makes you incredibly strong. 🤍
