One of my many anxious thoughts but what would you do if your car broke down on a busy road- with a toddler and baby. Who do you get out first?
Would have to be the toddler (nearly 3) first, then baby… else I’d have no hands to unclip the toddler. But then where do you put the toddler.
Please tell me everyone has these scenarios running through their head🥲
I just saw a video of a car broken down on a smart motorway, so they were half in a lane. How do you get your children out then?! I hate that I overthink everything.

First of all u will have to try and take the car to a safe place. If the car is not in flames i dont see why u have to take the kids out . The only time u can think of taking them off is when you have called the services to come take the car away . Otherwise u all stay in the car and wait for someone u may have called to come help . This is after you have drived the car out of the road .

She spoke about motorway oo

If you can get your car to the side of the left hand side of road (UK) absolutely get out of your car, using passenger side where possible, and get behind the safety barrier. You should try and unclip your children from the passenger side too - does your baby’s car seat detach? If so I’d take baby out in the car seat x if you break down in the middle of a motorway and can’t get to the side, stay clipped in , hazards on and call 999 immediately xx thank you for posting this it made me think and refresh my knowledge on what to do https://www.theaa.com/breakdown-cover/advice/what-to-do-motorway-breakdown
I can say I haven’t had baby yet but I know I’ll be having lots of anxious thoughts when he’s here! You’re definitely not alone, but keep an eye on them that they don’t get too overwhelming xx

Personally, I I would reach over and unclip the toddler then get out myself and get the baby out and get the toddler to climb over the baby seat and out the car then get as far away from the road as possible
