Bottle Refusal

My 10 week old is EBF, however my partner would give her a bottle of expressed milk so that I could have a bath etc. She has now suddenly started refusing to drink from one. She will only drink for a minute or so if I give it to her. I have tried different teat/flow sizes but doesn’t seem to make a difference. Any tips on how I can get her to drink from a bottle again as I am now officially trapped 😆

Hey mamas! 💕
What were the baby items you actually used the MOST? Trying to finish my registry and don't wanna miss the essentials. Thank you! 🤍

Anyone else completely burned out????

I am so close to losing it. My baby is 9 weeks and she is the cutest sweetest baby and I genuinely think I’m very lucky because she’s really not that difficult (and everyone keeps telling me this and I agree) yet I’m still so overwhelmed and burned out. At week 6 she started only wanting contact naps during the day, fine I did this. She doesn’t like to be babyworn I need to hold her and sit. Now at weeks 9 just a regular contact nap is not enough, she only settles when I hold her and jump through hoops, make saltos, bounce, swing, whatever freaking movement exists she wants that otherwise she won’t sleep. My body can’t take this anymore and if I don’t do this she doesn’t sleep and gets all crazy. They said it would het better by week 8 but it’s only getting worse - I feel like such a bad mum because I can’t even deal with one baby. HOW DO YOU MUMS DO THIS WITH MORE KIDS?? I respect you so much!!!! I want 4 kids but I can’t even handle 1. Anyway that’s all for now. And yes she feeds well, is not colic, has not a lot of gas discomfort so that’s all okay, sleeps well at night and my husband is the best and supportive help when he’s home from work. Yet I still can’t manage. Great.

9th percentile weight

Our 12 week old daughter was weighed today and has gone from middle of 9th/25th percentile to 9th percentile. She is exclusively breastfed so I am a little disheartened as no signs/ wasn’t expecting it. She is well and content in herself and has regular normal nappies. I am due to take her back in 4 weeks to check weight. They weren’t overly concerned but want to check in 4 weeks. Anything I can do in that time to help feed her up and get her back on track. She is exclusively breastfed on demand and is a good sleeper so fed once during night.

If you were walking on an isolated cycle path with no one else on it aside from a strange looking man, would you intervene if he was asking for help with an insect in his eye?

This happened to me the other day and it creeped me out, and I’m wondering if I was being over the top.

The man was hovering around a bike attending to it, so I assumed he had a bike problem, but then as soon as he saw me, he started walking towards me, and said he had an emergency and he needed me to look in his eye. I asked why and he said because an insect flew into it. His eye looked normal and he wasn’t squinting or anything like that, but kept saying it was an emergency and he needed me to look.

I said no and told him to asked a man. I said I didn’t feel safe on my own on the isolated path coming any closer to him. He stormed off angry and then kept turning around and just standing there looking back at me, which scared me even more.

Was I being over the top or unreasonably? Was I an arsehole for not helping him? Do you believe his story about his eye? This is now the fourth man who has approached me in this area with either a strange request or who has threatened me, so admittedly I’m on high alert at this point.

In my head I was thinking the minute I come close to this man, he’s going to do something to me because why can he just poke the insect out himself instead of asking a lone woman on a cycle path to inspect his eye?

Huckleberry app

Is anyone really following the huckleberry app sleep suggestions and is it working for you?
My baby is 9 weeks old and I just want to know if i should try it or not… monitoring wake windows and all that can be overwhelming especially when you’re sleep deprived… should I just follow baby’s cues and forget about apps?. TIA!
