Hi everyone!

I’m feeling so down at the minute. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes at 25 weeks, so now 5 weeks. I’ve trialed metformin and could only stomach 2 tablets but my fasting levels were still to high so they introduced insulin too. I’m now on 18 units and it’s still out of range!!

I know it’s not what I’m eating because my after meals are all within range it’s literally just my fasting, but it’s so frustrating.

What insulin levels do you take before your fasting levels settled? Just feel so guilty that it’s passing to my baby x

I’m so confused and insights would be amazing.

So we started to try to get pregnant when I was 28 years old. I only managed to get pregnant and have my baby at 32.

My baby is now 9 months old.

So the options for baby nr 2 :

Waiting to my baby is 12 months (just about not having 2 under 2 )

Or wait until she is 3 so we don’t need to pay two nursery fees? But I’m a little worried I’ll get too old to have a 3rd if I would like one later on.

Arghh

A part of me would just go for it now, because I had difficulties getting pregnant before but I’m terrified I would get pregnant straight away.

Please share what you guys have done / thinking of doing ?

Will labour ever begin?! 😩

I’m 40 +4 and for two weeks now I’ve had on and off braxton hicks, period cramps and soft stools/diarrhoea. Yesterday I felt so fatigued and was having hot and cold flushes which I read could also be a sign just before labour.

Then last night I woke at 3:30 with non stop cramping and intermittent contractions, to the point I thought it was happening and called my husband back from work (night shift worker). Come this morning, apart from some mild cramping, all has stopped again! It’s driving me mad!

Anyway just needed to rant… maybe there’s someone else in a similar position? Or has been and can tell me baby will be here soon 🥺

I have a midwife appointment today which I’m hoping I’ll be offered a sweep and that it might help get things going.

Anyone have a failed induction?

Doctors thought it was uncommon for someone to not go into labor/dilate through the induction process. Has this happened to anyone?
