8 week injections

Hiya! My little one had her injections today and she’s slept most of the day since 🥲 when she wakes for feeds, she’s only taking like an ounce at a time then falling back to sleep! Has anyone else’s baby done this too? I was told she may feed less but worried she’s not having enough as she usually has 4oz every 3 hours x

My little boy had his yesterday. He barely drank either and slept the day away. He also spiked a fever around 7pm. Had his jabs at 10:30am. She’ll make up for it the next day or 2 he’s been back to guzzling 5oz bottles today even though he’s had 2 3 hour naps xx

Same here! She's only eaten twice, one right after (130ml when she normally takes 145ml) and then just 70ml. I think this is normal so I'm not worried xx

My little girl had hers on Friday last week and was the exact same up until Sunday. Just offered her smaller amounts more frequently x

Hi, my daughter had hers yesterday and was very sleepy and not very interested in food yesterday. Woke her to feed which I never have to do, she's BF so don't know how much she had but overall less time than previous days, a bit more today but still not as much as usual,

My daughter has hers today as well puked all over the nurses chair and me! 🤦🏼‍♀️

She’s had about 6oz all day! She usually has 5oz every 2-3 hours but I’m not concerned she’s slept most of the day she’s had calpol as instructed and she’s not got a temperature she’s not fussy she’s just not feeling great I really wouldn’t worry she will take her milk when she’s hungry just offer small amounts more often if you’re concerned but as long as she has wet nappies she’s fine.
It was the same for my first baby she’s wasn’t bothered about milk for about 5 days just small amounts x

You’re doing great though just plenty of cuddles and love she’ll be fine in a few days just try not to stress it really is totally normal xx

Just keep her doses on the three lots of calpol & let her sleep it off. As long as she’s having wet nappies I wouldn’t worry! My boy was the same & i think i took it worse than him 😂

Why does no one use reins for toddlers anymore?

They seem so safe and practical but I never see anyone using them. I’m thinking of getting some for my toddler who is always running around but I worry I’ll be judged?!

Is your child the priority?

I saw a post where the mother complained how people don’t understand how hard it is to go outside and have a meal with others etc because her toddler has a routine. She would have to pack food, toys, nappies etc and try to figure out nap time whilst outside so staying home is much easier. We all know what it’s like when your child misses their nap and then nighttime becomes a nightmare. Everything is out of routine. It affects the toddler. I’m assuming that mums who are always out and about all day long, have a toddler who goes with the flow and nap anywhere, eats anything and isn’t overstimulated? Personally mine seems to have a hard time in new places and new faces and enjoys her routine and comfort at home. For me, she is the priority but other mothers are saying that it’s wrong and the child should work around them, otherwise they wouldn’t be able to do anything. In my head, I’ve just accepted that until she goes to school, I’m going to be in mummy mode 24/7 for the next few years. I don’t see myself enjoying being outside if my girl is upset and tired. How do you do it?

Baby carrier

Can anyone recommend a good baby carrier suitable for 5 weeks+ to last as long as possible? I’ve currently got a fabric wrap but find it a hassle to put on!

Coming to a realization

At the age of 33, I realize I may never truly get my happy ending or experience the love I deserve in this life. To summarize… my childhood was a mess, I have no real relationship with my family, no friends to call and laugh/vent with, my spouse is emotionally unavailable most days and is starting to feel more like a “cousin” than a relationship since he is my Childs father. My life is the endless routine of waking up, working from home, doing schoolwork and going to bed. My 4 year old is the best thing that has ever happened to me and is the only highlight in each day. He makes mommy feel seen, loved, and appreciated. I think I will find my happiness in making him happy.

Is co-sleeping safe?

My baby won’t sleep in the crib at night. Within the first 5 minutes of being put down she will cry and i can’t do the sleep deprivation anymore.. as soon as she is in the bed next to me she settles! 😭is it safe for her to be in the bed with me? i’ve heard of safe sleep 7 and i know co sleeping is normalised in certain areas of the world so surely it can’t be that dangerous? idk help pls
