My baby has just turned one. Do I need to get their feet measured? What shoes do they need, theyre just about to start walking...Am I overthinking this? 😂

If they’re walking or taking a few steps by themselves, it’s worth taking them to Clark’s to get their feet measured properly even if you don’t buy Clark’s shoes they’re probably they best for it x

You don't need actual shoes until they have been walking a good couple of months, they need to learn barefoot. If you want them to walk outside then you can get some soft leather soled socks from Amazon

I agree with Eve that's what I did and you don't have to buy anything there

If youre planning on getting shoes make sure they are fully flexibe. You should be able to bend the shoe where your toes may bend easily and essentially be able to fold the shoe in half. If it feels solid, dont buy it. Hard shoes will make it harder for your kid to balance and just generally be able to walk run around smoothly.

Just went to Clarks today to get measured and they were so lovely. We did end up buying some soft soled pre walkers but won't really use them unless walking outside yet.
Thanks everyone, will go get measured at least so if I see a good deal I have the option to buy some 🙂
I’m a FTM looking for some advice please.
I’ve just started putting my 9 week old in her sleeping bag at night the temperature when we go to bed is around 20/21 degrees I have been putting her in a 1 tog sleeping bag with her sleepsuit per the guide on the sleep bag. The temperature is dropping to about 16/17 degrees throughout the night making it colder.
Would you continue to put her in the 1 tog or would you put her in a warmer tog when she’s going to bed knowing the temperature is going to drop? I am worried about overheating her. TIA xx

I breastfed for 18 months and it was more because I knew it was good for baby and then when we got into it, it was for convenience and ease. But I also felt that it took things away like baby being able to spend long periods of time with family (he wouldn’t take a bottle), and also I had a lack of freedom lol.
I’d do it again and don’t regret it but I never got the “I love breastfeeding, I love the closeness, it’s magical” kinda feeling that I read people talking about.

Help?!!!! My 18 month old from the day he was born has been absolute hell past 4pm. No matter how much sleep he has he whinges and cries at EVERY thing, all evening. My partner is really stressed out with it, as we thought by now he might have grown out of it. He’s sleeps 7:30pm- 6am, and 11:30-1:30 day nap. Eats WELL, that is what he actually mostly whinges at now… Always screaming at the kitchen cupboards. I don’t know what to do😩 is this happening to anyone else

Has anyone got any advice on sleep training? My nearly 15 week old is fine at night sleeps in her moses basket in our room still but in the day she will not go down in the cot in the living room as soon as I put her down she’s awake and won’t go back to sleep 😩

When did you start using tampons after birth?
I’m 6 weeks post c-section today and started my first period. I absoloutely hate pads with a passion I’m so fed up of them I just want to start using tampons again but information online is misleading.

Did anyone find that when they got their period their milk supply got less? Think my first period is starting and noticed I'm finding I'm pumping less and less milk at the moment and wonder if they're connected.
