Cot transition

How is everyone getting on with moving to a bigger cot/out of the next to me. My LO seems to no longer be able to link sleep cycles (waking every 35-45min) they weren't a great sleeper before but would usually do at least 3hrs for their first stretch. I can't seem to shoosh her in the cot even after a period of winging (trying to get her to figure it out). I am on day 8 with no change on the horizon any help/tips?

This could be the sleep regression tbh. My girl transitioned from next to me to cot and loved it. She had so much room (she loves to roll over and sleep on her front. She did really well and long stretches for about a week, nothing changed but then she started in the sleep regression.

We’re on week six of the regression and hourly wakes - good luck! Despite this I still feel like he’s too little to move into a cot, I’ll probably have him in the next to me until he’s too big for it x

How do you politely tell your MIL to stop folding everything

I have said it MANY times that she doesn't need to fold our clothes or do our laundry. Yet I'll come home from a baby class to find a load of laundry on (nothing separated, the whites have turned grey) and clothes folded. I have to stop the washer, pull out all the white clothes (some of white I've had to put in a bleach bath to get back to being white) and refold or unfold clothes so I can put them away properly. All of our socks have one super stretched elastic and one normal tension.
It has been almost 3 years of this. She shrank the only pjs that were comfortable to sleep in while pregnant with my son, when I was pregnant with my daughter. And before you say I probably just gain weight because of the bump, bump does not affect the length of your arms.

Is this a joke?

So my baby turns two this weekend. This past weekend we went out to get some things for the party, nothing crazy, and while we were out; out of nowhere while driving my partner of 12 years says “Is (Our first child) mine? (First) looks nothing like me. (Second) looks exactly like me to a t”. I just looked at him and said “seriously” he then says ”relax, its a joke” so I asked him what part of that was funny and to explain the humor because I don’t see any and don’t find it funny. This is the first time he’s ever said something like that so I imagine someone’s either in his ear or something else is going on. And before anyone asks, yes they’re both his. Any ideas? Suggestions?

Disposable swim nappies

Stupid question. I have bought disposable swim nappies (Huggies little swimmers), do I put a regular nappy on underneath or not?

Annoyed 😒

I’m about to cut off a “friend”. So, I’ve known this friend since my early 20s. We are in our early 30s now. She is still doing the same shit since when we were younger. Every relationship she’s been in, she has had a kid. She will get into a new relationship and then get pregnant a few months into the relationship. She’s with this new guy and swears up and down that “he’s the one” okay cool. If he is, that’s great. My issue…. She keeps getting having these kids and calls me to complain about said kids. (She’s pregnant with #6) y’all….I’m so sick of her. At this point, I’m biting my tongue from telling her to stop getting pregnant if all you’re going to do is call me to bitch about anything related to her kids. Completely optional to continue having kids and really tired of her complaining about them lol. Would I be an asshole if I cut her off? I feel like at this point in my life, I have grown from that. I only have 2 kids and have settled down. Don’t really have anything in common with her anymore…

Are baby swings worth it?

I’m thinking of buying a baby swing, I have a 3 month old who never wants to be put down during the day and I’m finding it really hard to get anything done, eat, shower etc. We have a bouncer but he’ll only tolerate it when he’s in the right mood and only for a few minutes.
Just wondering what people’s experiences are with baby swings? Do they actually work? My partner thinks it will be another gimmicky thing, but I’m getting pretty desperate!
