My nearly 6 month old has started rolling onto her tummy in her sleep, I’ve read if they’ve done it themselves we can leave them but my girl cannot roll belly to back, and has shown no signs. If she stays asleep, can I leave her on her stomach or should I be rolling her back?

My baby started rolling from back to front around 4.5 months and when I’d put her down in her cot she’d immediately roll over to sleep on her tummy. I turned her back but she’d get upset/roll back over. She only started rolling from front to back confidently since 5.5 months. When she first started rolling on her front and she’d get upset when I turned her back, I got to the point when I just kept her on her tummy whilst she slept. She takes comfort in her face being like on the mattress but not like fully faced in if that makes sense? Like when we sleep on our front with our heads to the side.
I did feel more comfortable leaving her on her front as I have the BabySense Breathing Pads Sensors so if she was so be struggling in the night whilst she slept, the sensor would alarm.

My LO freaked us out doing this but it was over within a couple of days and he now sleeps on his back or side again…it may pass!

We went through this and my LO kept sleeping face down. I would turn him and before I even got back into bed he would have rolled again 🙈 they can surprisingly breath well even with their faces on the mattress. After about 3-4 nights, he worked out how to sleep facing to the side
