Pregnant with a 2nd December baby and it wasn’t planned. I feel so lost, I don’t know what to do. My daughter will have just turned 3 years old by the time this baby arrives. My husband and I were one and done. He’s about to be made redundant. I’m a stay at home mum and my daughter was due to start preschool in January. I don’t know how she’ll cope starting preschool as soon as a new sibling arrives. I don’t know how we’ll cope financially as we’ve only just gotten by these last 3 years. I’m so scared about the impact on my daughter because I have a sibling who my mum has always favoured and I never ever want my child to feel the way I do. The industry that my husband works in means extremely long hours away from home which my daughter and I struggle with and I don’t know how I’ll cope with a toddler and newborn by myself for long periods with little support. I just don’t know what to do 😢

Firstly
Your daughter will cope and will adapt - she will thrive and you will have that time and space ( if you choose) for you and the little one
Secondly, your story isn’t her story, you get to change the narrative and you can create a close bond for your children, breaking the trauma cycle
Thirdly - get thrifty, you can make it work with second hand stuff.
Now this is all if you want to go through with it, that you want to have another little soul in your family.
You can only know if your heart even if your head isn’t there yet trying to work how the how’s!
It’ll all work out around whatever feels right to you.
Ultimately your heart space does grow to love another child just like your first but you have to know that it feels right for you.
