Prams !!

Currently 22/40 with our first baby!! We plan on having 2 under 2, would it make sense to purchase a double stroller to avoid a secondary cost with the second bay?

I know there are some companies that have pushchairs that are one but can be adapted for two when the time comes. I sadly can't remember which these are as it's been almost a year since I got mine, but it would be worth looking into.

We planned this, I’d say, get a single stroller, but just get something simple and cheap, or go for something nicer, but try and get second hand. (I got a single but spent too much. I’d just feel silly getting a double in case I didn’t get pregnant again at all, or it took ages)

Then get a decent double when you your second arrives. We have a mountain buggy duet and it’s so good, the out n about nipper is great too.
I found the double decker types unstable, especially on rough ground or going up curbs. And the bugaboo donkey is enormous in double mode.

Next to me crib

How do you get newborn to sleep in the next to me?

I have tried but end up giving up, going downstairs putting him in the carry cot and he is absolutely fine/drifts off!

Ive tried putting a top in the next to me so he can smell me but that doesn't seem to work.

Environment is the same; dark room etc.

He's 7 days old today, is it just perseverance and eventually he will just do it? Or are there any tips to encourage him to stay/sleep in the next 2 me?

2 stages in one!

3 months in and WOW… nobody warned me about this stage 😂😭

One minute she’s smiling, cooing, the sweetest little angel…
Next minute I’m being screamed at because I dared to change her nappy or put a sleeve on the wrong arm 🙃

Apparently this is a “developmental leap” AND the start of an early sleep regression…
I call it:
✨ tiny human with BIG emotions and zero patience (and no interest in sleep) ✨

We’ve got:
• 30 minute naps
• dramatic outfit changes
• only-mum-will-do moments
• random meltdowns for absolutely no reason (or all the reasons??)
• and a sleep schedule that changes its mind daily 😅

But also… the smiles, the cuddles, the way she settles on me like I’m her whole world 🥹

So yeah… it’s a lot right now.
Messy, exhausting, emotional… but still somehow the best thing ever.

Anyone else in the trenches with a 3 month old? Send help… or snacks 😅🤍

Food shopping

Please help how to do a food shop with a 4 month old! At the moment I put her car seat in a shallow trolley and can only buy limited stuff till its full and fill my massive bag on the hook which isn't enough. She can't sit up so can't go in the sit up ones, I can't wear her for that long takes about 15 minutes and my back feels like its going to break, the pram storage only holds limited stuff I wonder if I'm missing something obvious? I know you can get ones to put the car seat in but there's never been one available when I've been! Any help would be grateful

Unpopular opinion 👀

Baby sleep consultants have made an industry out of exhausted mums wanting a ‘fix’ to their babies sleep, even though there’s no such thing

Breast pumps

Hi, I'm a first time mum and would like to breastfeed. I'm 23weeks and trying to buy along the way, to spread the cost and not leave everything until the last min as I'm anxious about birth.

I want to get a portable breast pump as we have an active lifestyle. What does everyone recommend? Preferably something that won't break the bank 😊

Advice

Has anyone suffered with skin tags after giving birth?

The doctors advice is you have to live with it, how awful is that!
