Labour inducing tricks!

I’m 39 weeks and 2 days and I need natural ways to get this baby out. I’ve tried walking, exercising, being intimate, doing things I enjoy (to release oxytocin), raspberry tea, dates (on and off as I really don’t like them), ball exercises, colostrum, and I think that’s it so far. Any other tricks I’m not currently trying? Or any of the above that worked for you that I could try more of. I’m willing to try anything that’s safe at this point!

I did 6 dates a day and hot mamas raspberry tea aswell as walking uo steps sideways a few times a day, did that with both my kids my son came 40+1 i had 2 sweeps, daughter ended up coming via induction due to fast heart rate but both of them i dilated suoer quick and had soft cervix so i swear by the tea and dates

Try some curb walking and crabbing up and down stairs ❤️

When is the right time to start . I’m 35 weeks

You aren't even 40 weeks yet, so don't try to get them out too much yet. Longer they're in there, the better for them

Trust your body to do its thing! Dont try and force things too much :)

Induction or elective c section?

Hi ladies, I am 40+1 today. I had a sweep on Friday where my midwife told me my cervix was soft (which she said was good) but it was still high up (Not so good). She's booked me in for another sweep on Friday and she also booked me for an induction this Sunday coming (1 week after my due date which was yesterday). I felt more told than asked which was also not ideal. Ideally I go into labour naturally this week but I am really considering opting for an elective c-section over an induction. What are everyone's thoughts?

Anyone with experience of either it would be really helpful to hear from you as I am a FTM and I have seen research that induction often leads to C-section anyway.

Unsure what to do

So I had a scan which showed an empty sac at 6 weeks 5 days measuring 6 weeks 2 days but this morning I’ve had what I would say is 7/10 right sided cramping/abdominal pain. I know it’s a bank holiday my EPU isn’t open and they take referrals so I’m not sure what to do?

Bank holiday

I know this is a random question but just wondered if anyone else is the same as me. Every time it’s a bank hol people always ask ‘what are you doing for bank holiday?’ like it’s an event and I must plan something memorable for my family. But I basically see bank holiday like a Sunday! A day to potter around the house, play in the garden, maybe go to the park but nothing fancy. What IS everyone doing for bank holiday??

33 weeks

I’m 33 weeks on Wednesday and can’t believe I still have around 7 weeks to go? 😂 I’m exhausted and feel huge! I feel so much bigger and heavier in this pregnancy and tbf this baby is measuring bigger than my first. Anyone else feel the same? X

16 week midwife appointment

I had my 16 week midwife appointment when i was 18 weeks. I just felt like it was a waste of time, she checked my BP and that was it. Said she’ll next see me at around 24 weeks. We didn’t get to listen to the heartbeat or anything
