Sleep help

How do your babies fall asleep? He never fall asleep while breastfeeding; I have to bounce him on a pilates ball or walk quickly to get them to sleep, especially at night. It takes a very long time; my back is killing me. My baby is 4 weeks old.

Mine is the same. Was combi fed but now formula (10 weeks) and never falls asleep on bottle. I have to rock her and wear her/contact nap! But she does sleep through so the nights aren’t a problem!

Did the sleep trend change while i wasnt looking?

From my perspective, 4-5 years ago everyone was all about schedules and structures and Moms On Call and ferber method sleep training. As soon as my son was born early 2025, it felt like a huge shift in attitude. People were horrified / thought we were idiots for being on a schedule, i have been insulted for not baby wearing, and i have been talked to by MANY people like im a neglegent mother for rarely contact napping or bed sharing or when we started ferber.

Judge away if you must, maybe its always been this way, but it really feels like there was a huge shift in how we mamage contact and sleep.

What age was your first child when you had your second?

What age do think is best for your child to be before you have another one?

I can’t believe some of you let your babies watch Ms Rachel 🤬

Instead of letting your babies sit in front of the telly watching Ms Rachel…
Try educational alternatives like Deal or no Deal, we’re having a blast 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Sleeping

I am a FTM and my little girl is 4 months old, we have found recently that we have been disturbing her in the night we if get up for a drink or the loo. Does anyone have any tips, she Currently is in a next to me with all the sides up. We have even tried putting it away from our bed just incase we were knocking her. Don't really want to put her into her own room yet but don't want to keep disturbing her in the night, it's been a month and can't seem to find a way to stop disturbing her. She's normally a wake up once a night girl but at the minute it's 4/5 times

6 month naps

How often are your babies napping? I really thought we’d cracked it the past few days, she’s been having 3 naps, first 1 shortish, second nap usually quite long and last nap is usually a cat nap to bridge to bedtime.
Recently, she’s gone back to 4 even 5 naps a day! I think it’s because she’s been waking earlier and her first nap has been shorter than usual.

Sex in the postpartum

I'm 7 weeks postpartum and haven't had sex with my partner again. I had a natural birth with an episiotomy, and I'm currently undergoing pelvic floor physiotherapy. My physiotherapist cleared me to have sex, and I told my partner, who said there was no rush. I don't have a very high sex drive either, but I feel insecure about not being intimate for so long. I feel like we're drifting apart, and I don't know how to start. I feel like I should be the one to take the initiative; he won't. Any advice? I don't know what to do. I feel confused and, like, a little thoughtful about how to handle our sex life. Maybe I'm just overreacting 🫣
