Has anyone ever had an incorrect gender test with Natera?? I did a blood test through sneak peek at 10w3d gender came back as boy. I did the test at a clinic so it’s very unlikely the test was contaminated. Then I had an ultrasound at 12 weeks and baby looked like a boy! I did my Natera test at 12w0d and gender came back as girl!!! I went to an ultrasound at 13 weeks and gender was inconclusive since cord was between babies legs. I’m honestly so confused. Has anyone gotten a false gender before???

YES. We thought we transferred a girl embryo (our only embryo) but learned it was a girl at our NPT blood test and subsequent ultrasound. At first we thought it was a case of mistaken embryo but turns out it’s not that uncommon for gender to be incorrect during genetics testing. I remember hearing somewhere that they’re being investigated for false claims of their accuracy.
