Cot advice

During daytime naps with a camera on I had noticed our 3 month old is a little fidget and can move around. As she was stirring and waking up earlier her legs were close to going through the bars. I’m worried she may hurt herself. Anything I can do? Is this what the bumpers are for?!

Does she sleep in a sleeping bag in the day? Guidance is against bumpers as they can become dislodged and baby can get stuck between them and the cot causing injuries x

She’ll learn, mine puts his through the bars on purpose now 🙃🥲 that is partly what bumpers are used for but they’re really not recommended safe sleep. If it’s really bad then switch to a travel cot or next to me with the mesh sides x

Muslins

Is anyone else's baby completely obsessed with muslin cloth?

My 17 week old will just chew and play with them, she has all the toys and teethers she could possibly want but no.... Just a muslin will keep her happy and entertained. 😂 She also likes to nap with one during the day (doesn't have one at night).

I'm not sure if she could also be teething though, could I wet and freeze a small muslin to give to her to help? Or maybe dip one in breast milk and then freeze?

Pumping Issues

Hey Mommas,

I started breastfeeding in the hospital and baby latched really well for about a day until circumstances at the hospital forced us to provide a bottle to baby and now he doesn’t take directly. I’m about a month out and am pumping virtually nothing. I’m getting really frustrated and want to get my supply back up. Any solid advice outside of eating more protein, more water, or pumping more often? I’m worried it’s just over for me. 😞

Delayed at two year check

What happens if your child flags up as delayed at their two year check?

We have ours on thursday and i know my little one is delayed. I have reached out to the HV on numerous occasions since he was 14 months old and just got told we would have an early one and he finally got one at 26 months.

Am I measuring bottles wrong 🤔

Health visitor has asked me to track how much milk my 5m old has in a day due to weight/CMPA
When I make a 6oz bottle, I measure out 6oz water, then I add the formula powder. Once it’s all mixed in (and the bubbles have gone down) the measurement then looks more like 7oz as obviously the formula adds volume. So if she has the full bottle do I count this as 6 or 7oz as there was 6oz of water but formula takes measurement up to 7?

Sleep Training -Ferber Method

My husband and I started to sleep train our son last night as all methods that originally put him to sleep have stopped working (rocking, shushing and giving a bottle, etc.). We have just begun, but he attends daycare 3 times a week and I spoke with them regarding the sleep training, but he would not go down on his own this morning, so they ended up rocking him to sleep. Of course, daycare is not going to allow him to cry or sleep train him. I am wondering, is this going to set us back or confuse him when it comes to self soothing or is it more likely he will pick up the self soothing and correlate it to being put to sleep Any advice is welcomed, please do not give me your opinions on sleep training (I know everyone has them).

Breastfeeding stock pile

My husband wants me to start stock piling milk in the freezer so I can rest and so that when he's home alone with our daughter he can have food for her just in case. I am 9 days Postpartum. How much should I pump after feedings so she still gets fed directly and I don't get engorged? Thank you in advance
