Hi all, I’m just reaching out to see if anyone else has noticed this in their babies sleep or if it’s just mine and if it’s normal behaviour or something I should be worried about? So for the last week or so whenever my baby is asleep he will move around a lot and when I say a lot I mean he will go from one end of the bed to the other, he will turn himself around, he will then get on all fours and start banging/rubbing his face on the mattress. This can go on all night even after he wakes and has been resettled. I’ve also noticed he does this in his cot too. I think we maybe going through some of sort of sleep regression too, but this none stop movement/fidgeting in his sleep is starting to worry me (plus it’s keeping me awake all night too). But then he doesn’t do this during the day when he’s having a nap? Is anyone else’s baby like this and did it stop? Any advice would be appreciated.

My son moves a lot too. He bashes his head on the side of the cot and is also really loud 🫣 He’s chaotic when he’s awake and doesn’t stop moving then so I just assume that’s him 😆

Yeah my daughter moves around alot in her sleep goes to one side of the cot to the other as she is very active in the day I think she is at night it's called active sleeping

Yes he never used to and now he does , last night was so bad he had to sleep in bed with me and my partner on the sofa 🙃

Mines the same the other night he kept sitting up in his sleep and we would have to go lay him back down 🤣
Thank you everyone, it’s nice to know he’s not the only one. I was getting slightly worried because honestly it’s like he’s been possessed 🫣 how are we all sleeping through it? I’m getting maybe like 2-4hrs of broken sleep. I’m exhausted!

Yep, mine does the same

My little girl is in a different room to me now so I don't think it bothers me so much

My lil one was exactly the same and it used to worry me and keep me awake. Eventually I started to be able to switch off and not respond to every wriggle and grunt. When she turned 5 months we moved house and put her in her own room and we all slept so much better. We of course had the monitor so if she did need us we could be there. I always joked about putting a pedometer on her to measure her distance traveled through the night! As she has got older she is gradually getting less active through the night, she’s now 2 x
