Is that like FLMA?

I applied and its been about 5 weeks in total. I was told if I pay more NI contributions then they can give me a higher rate. So now im in the process of doing that, and then the MA gets recalculated so it is a bit of a long wait. Still waiting to hear back after the over payment

Heya, I’m also self employed and applied for MA. It took about 4 weeks to hear back. They offered me a lower amount than I expected due to me not paying my NI2 contribution for the previous year. So I rang HMRC and paid it off. Two days later I rang MA to let them know I had paid my NI2 contribution and asked if they could let me know if it had updated on my account, which it had and I was then granted the full amount x
