Vitamin D drops

Has anyone or is anyone exclusively breat feeding and decided not to do vitamin D drops? Deep down I feel like it's not necessary, but then I also feel like it is as I'm not sure if I'm producing enough milk for my baby.

Honestly I’ve been breastfeeding and never given my 4 month old vitamin D drops. Not because I’m against them or anything I just could never remember to start 😭 but he is doing just fine without! If it’s about milk production, I’m not sure vitamin d drops will help with that.

I’ve not given the drops and he’s fine. I give him actual sunlight to compensate… since I feel his body can better absorb and use natural sun light over artificial drops.

Hmm well even if you were for sure producing enough or more for baby, they likely are still not getting enough since our breast milk is vitamin D deficient

I only gave them in the winter, when we weren't getting outside much.

I miss some days but when I remember I definitely give my baby the drops.

I never did them with both my children and they ended up great with no issues! I’m confident my breastmilk is exactly what they needed and it was!

I always gave vitamin D per my pediatrician's instructions

They are supposed to have supplementation, however my lactation consultant told me if I take vitamin D supplements that can also be beneficial if I forgot to give the drops to baby

How’s everyone’s partners working paternity leave?

My husband holidays are set (annoyingly) so he can only get 2 weeks off
He’s got a holiday 25th-31st and C-section is supposed to be between 27th-3rd so it could fall while he’s already off then take the 2 weeks after but we want to some how make it longer 😩 we fell really lucky with our oldest because he was born a little over 2 weeks before a 2 week holiday so my husband got almost 5 weeks off but not falling that lucky this time

Annoyingly if I was able to go to my due date it would’ve worked out that he got 2 weeks of then 8 days back at work before a almost 4 week holiday 🤦🏼‍♀️ but now the 4 week holidays going to be about 6 weeks after birth

Disappointing

Anyone else feeling a bit put out that a family member or friend hasn’t checked in on them in the whole pregnancy? Will you let them meet baby?

Does this sound mentally ill? Creating characters around an item of clothing.

My mom sent me a blouse. It's not my style but I put it on and I became Barb 55, dog mom, twice divorced, works in accounting. No kids. Middle toes are longer than her big toe. Wears a size 11 shoe. Part of a gardening club. Always asks the younger staff how to do stuff on email. Dreams of opening up her very own bed and breakfast. Loves vacationing in Puerto Vallarta every year for Christmas. Goes to church every Sunday and secretly reads shape shifting smutt.
