Has anyone or is anyone exclusively breat feeding and decided not to do vitamin D drops? Deep down I feel like it's not necessary, but then I also feel like it is as I'm not sure if I'm producing enough milk for my baby.

Even if you produced enough milk you still don’t produce enough vit d

Even if you produced enough milk you still don’t produce enough vit d

Honestly I’ve been breastfeeding and never given my 4 month old vitamin D drops. Not because I’m against them or anything I just could never remember to start 😭 but he is doing just fine without! If it’s about milk production, I’m not sure vitamin d drops will help with that.

I’ve not given the drops and he’s fine. I give him actual sunlight to compensate… since I feel his body can better absorb and use natural sun light over artificial drops.

Hmm well even if you were for sure producing enough or more for baby, they likely are still not getting enough since our breast milk is vitamin D deficient

I only gave them in the winter, when we weren't getting outside much.

I miss some days but when I remember I definitely give my baby the drops.

I never did them with both my children and they ended up great with no issues! I’m confident my breastmilk is exactly what they needed and it was!

I always gave vitamin D per my pediatrician's instructions

They are supposed to have supplementation, however my lactation consultant told me if I take vitamin D supplements that can also be beneficial if I forgot to give the drops to baby
