Stay at home mum after returning to work

I have returned from Mat leave since Feb and little man has just turned a Year old Monday. He has been ill since and very clingy to me. I only do 2 days a week and he’s with my MIL during that but I can’t help but feel like I now wanna be a stay at home mum. Someone tell me I’m not crazy for feeling this?😬

Of course you’re not crazy! It’s SO hard to be away from LO, especially so young. If I’m lucky I’m hoping to go back part time but that’ll still be 5 mornings a week. I’m telling myself that baby will be making memories with family members and it’s important she has exposure to different people (particularly family). Them having her one day a week each will also mean she gets maximum attention and they put all their tasks/housework on hold so she gets spoilt with love!

I handed in my notice after my maternity, I won’t be going back to work until pre-school. They’re only little for so long & id like to soak it all up before it’s over !!🥹 x

Government nursery funding

Hi I have been told if we are claiming UC we cannot claim the government funding for nursery care, is this correct? 🤔

I am working the UC just tops my wage up.

Thank you from a very confused first time mum ☺️

Unsure teething

My little boy had rosy red really warm cheeks, his chest is a little warm & head a little warm, I've done his temperature and it's completely normal it's 37.4 at the highest so not classed as a temperature as it's not over 38.
He's quite fussy and has had badly disturbed sleep the last 2 nights. He's 10.5 months old & has his top 4 top and bottom teeth so 8 in total. I'm unsure as to whether he is teething his molars already as I know it can happen around 10-11 months where he already has 8 teeth.
Does this sound like teething? He's still having his morning and night time bottle and his 3meals with snacks during the day.
I'm unsure as he never had any issues teething with the first 8 teeth he got, we didn't even know they had come through until we saw them!

Any advice is helpful!
Thank you! From a first time Mummy who's struggling a little! X

would you rather...?

1. if you hand wash dishes: never having to do it again
if you have a dish washer: never having to use it again
2. never having to do laundry agai. (washing drying and folding)
3. never having to clean bathrooms again
4. never having to vacuum/mop again

Am I sane or crazy, I'm sure it's both 😆

My husband and I have been together for 10+ years and we finally got our little baby after years of waiting. I changed my lifestyle a lot, scaling way back at work to only a few hours a day and staying home full-time to take care of our baby. He has moved up on his field with a recent promotion and works outside the home. Anyway, it drives me NUTS when he can't handle his first toddler meltdown experience of the evening, or if I ask him to take care of a poopy diaper.. his excuse is always that he doesn't want our kid "mad at him".
I understand wanting happy moments, we all do. And I do everything I can to time naps so he's got a happy kid greeting him at the door as often as possible. But the dinner hour or pre-bed meltdowns still happen 🤷🤷
I really think big emotions just turn my lumberjack into a field mouse 🙈

Scared and at my wits end

My daughter is 21 months and is a major climber. Today my husband was watching her while I slept in and he came running in saying she grabbed my meds and somehow opened it and spilled it all over the ground… these meds are highly toxic to toddlers. So I immediately got up and checked her mouth and each pill making sure she didn’t put any in her mouth and that every one was picked up. These meds were up on a counter in a bin.. how tf did she get to it. Apparently she climbed onto the couched reached out to the counter pulled the bin down. Thank god she’s okay and didn’t inject anything but it was scary. And a big reminder to lock these things. But also I’m so tired of chasing her around and stopping her from climbing. I’ve had to removed so much furniture because she will find a way to climb it or hang on it.. I will bring her down and say we stay off over and over again and it doesn’t matter… she will go right back and do it again. I will raise my voice and try to make eye contact. Doesn’t faze her. Idk what to do. My family says I should spank her but I can’t.
