Due date yesterday - symptoms start then stop with sleep?!

It’s my first baby and my due date was yesterday.

I’ve had some contractions, cramps, mucus plug loss for the past few days, but every time I go to sleep, symptoms stop. Should I stay awake? I feel like I’m interrupting the process, but I also feel my body needs the rest.

Anyone with similar experiences, let me know. It’s hard to stay patient right now, but am trusting as much as I can.

sleep/crib training 😭😭

okay wtf.. sleep training is so much harder emotionally than i ever thought. for the first 4 months of my sons life he slept in his bassinet strictly with contact naps here and there of course. at some point we switched to cosleeping because it was just easier at the time with me going back to work. please no judgement on that, i never thought i would cosleep and always looked down on it but it kept me sane when i was back working 40+ hours a week. i recently quit my job because the schedule was too inconsistent for me having a 9 month old now so we’re trying to sleep train and get him back in his crib. it is SO hard. i feel so guilty. i am not in any way doing the cry it out method or any form of that. i comfort him when he cries and i am currently sitting next to the crib after an hour and a half of trying to get him to fall asleep and he finally JUST went to sleep. i just feel so bad he was getting so worked up and crying like he has never cried before. i am really hoping it gets easier and it wont be weeks of this because i am on the verge of tears with guilt. 💔💔 my mama heart is breaking. if anyone has any suggestions or tips on sleep training that are NOT cry it out methods please let me know i could use all the tips i can get.

Baby question

Hi guys my baby girl is only three weeks old and she’s doing great for the most part the last two days she’s been really fussy and is having a hard time passing gas. She’s not sleeping as much either . And seems to be comfort feeding I think. I don’t know what to do. I’m breast feeding so it’s hard I’ll feed her and she’ll wake up like 20 minutes later and I’ll feed her again . But I feel like im not providing enough milk because there’s hardly anytime in between feeds . I’ve tired rubbing her belly doing bike legs and changing her position. What helped you help them most

How do you reprimand your baby and help them understand “no” ?

FTM, I have an almost 7 month old and I can tell she is starting to test her new skills and testing my limits as well. She will deliberately do something and look at me and wait for a reaction. If she is doing something wrong or unsafe I’ll tell her “no” and to “stop” with a more serious tone of voice and she literally laughs at me😭…EVERY TIME! I don’t know how to get her to understand that when mommy is trying to help you or tell you something that is wrong you cannot just LAUGH at her IN HER FACE😭😂😂😂kinda joking but kinda serious lmao any suggestions?

Weaning- the clean up!

I’m just about to start the weaning journey with my second and wondering what’s the best approach for the clean up!

What are you using to clean up the baby? What about the floor and high chair? Just regular changing wipes or specific flannels?

How are you cleaning down bibs? Do you reuse them before putting through the washing machine? Where are you keeping them/storing them when they are dirty and wet before being put in the washing machine?

I know I’m overthinking this but want to avoid smelly bibs and flannels lingering between washes.
Any tips for your laundry systems gratefully appreciated. 😅

Gosh I’m so boring- this is what I think of now haha

Baby shopping panic

I’m due in August and i still need to get quite a lot of things im starting to panic abit that i wont be able to afford everything in time. What should i do? I’m sending my maternity grant form off next week for the car seat, isofix etc then its nappies, bottles, dummies, wipes, socks, bath products, nail care, bath, bedding, swaddle/sleeping bag etc. I only have about £100 a month for all of this stuff is it doable? And like how much should I bulk buy of things like wipes/nappies etc?

Circumcision Issue

I didn’t circumcise my son, but lately he’s been saying it hurts when I clean him. It’s very tender, and the skin doesn’t pull back at all.

I don’t force it, but even trying gently seems to bother him. Now I’m starting to consider if circumcision might be needed for medical reasons.

Just trying to do what’s best for him. Any parents deal with this before?
