So I am or was a petite girl I went to see a physical therapist and they told me I have a 3 finger separation and what is called Diastasis recti and I’m a super active gym girly before getting pregnant. Has anyone ever experienced this before? Any stories you would care to share? I’m almost 2 months PP and I also had a c section. Does this heal eventually with certain exercises or does it stay? I appreciate any honest feedback and advice.

Consistency is key on exercises. I had minor DR and had a vaginal birth

Diastasis recti is pretty normal and is ur body making room for the baby/bump, my doc said to do consistent low impact (absolutely no core) exercise and deep abdominal breathing and to only start really worrying about it if it hasn't returned after 6mo, 2mo is still really early on so dont worry too much. Core exercises can make it much worse!
