I have no idea what I’m supposed to be feeding my 9 month old. I look online and it’s recipes with loads of ingredients and I don’t wanna spend hours in the kitchen when it’ll probably end up on the floor. Any ideas for normal meal ideas

Look at the Baby Led Weaning cookbook app, also Tiny Tim’s Recipes. The Annabelle Karmel social media has some good like ‘structure’ posts, especially for snacks and lunches. Otherwise we have always just fed what we eat x

I'm exactly the same! .. I have no idea! I started out doing different veggies etc all pureed.. but now I'm like.. what do I do! 8 keep saving videos I come across on tiktok of what other mums do .. but sometimes I'm like 'how do you find the time'!? Plus my LO hasn't grasped the hand to mouth motion .. so I'm still having to feed him everything he has (which is fine obviously) but i feel that kind makes everything a bit more extra aswell..
I keep buying the food pouches as we only tend to cook at dinner time and he's usually in bed by the time weve cooked.. I feel like it can at least only get easier lol

Heyy if u think of the ratio as 1/2 veg, 1/4 protein, 1/4 carbs - puree it with a hand held blender/ or mash it with a fork - life is a lot easier! Oh and add a bit of healthy fats eg. Olive oil
Some good combos - sweet potato, lentil, spinach. Sweet potato, chicken and cauliflower. Egg (scrambled) bread and banana
With combos like the above you can just buy frozen veg from supermarkets - they’re actually frozen at their peak nutritious levels so very healthy. Frozen chopped spinach from Asda/Sainsbury’s is good. Frozen mixed veg from any supermarket is great.
When we cook chicken for ourselves I will leave aside some for the LO, then just boil some sweet potato and chicken
I have like 7 or so meals that I rotate and when I do cook I do it for 3 days.
Pair it with finger foods like toast fingers, veggie straws so they get practice with eating solids themselves and also serves as good distraction while u feed them purées.

I basically make my little boy a plainer version of what I'm having tbh. So tonight I'm making Chinese chicken and noodles, so he will have a mini chicken fillet cut into stripes, marinated in a little bit of Chinese 5 spice, garlic and light soy. Then he'll have some peppers and noodles too, that way I'm still cooking 2 dinners but it's a lot less work!! I do have the "what mummy makes" cookbook which gives you dinners you can all eat which is quite handy!
