Milk intake

Hello! Has anyone else noticed that their baby just isn’t as interested in milk in the day or not wanting much at all?

I offer milk before, during and in between solids. It feels like every part of the day I’m giving her either milk or food 😅 I bottle feed with expressed milk but sometimes my baby only wants 50ml or so. It just worries me that she isn’t having enough?

To top it off, she has recently started to wake up every 2-3 hours at night for a feed 😴 which makes me think she is making up for her lack of daytime milk, even though it feels like I’m constantly encouraging it during the day!

Anyone else? 💗

Yes! It’s totally normal around this age, we’ve since tried rocking baby to sleep again in the night as the milk is mostly for comfort and that’s worked. Now I offer 1 8oz in the morning and 1 before bed (8oz) potentially a third bottle in the day if they’re unwell etc for comfort or off their food but I feel like this has happened in the past couple of weeks gradually! Whenever I offer milk he turns it away or has about 2oz!

Mine is the same. Just had our 10 month review and weight is totally fine, so it's probably just developmental (mine really seems to be getting better at actually consuming the solids we give her). But if you're still comcerned, do reach out to your hv.

Yess, i had this conversation with our HV yesterday and she said as long as he’s getting 15oz a day its fine. My boy is on 3 meals a day too and drinks up to 6oz of water x

Emotionally drained

I don't understand why my daughter is so evil and negative 24/7 unless she is begging for something. That's the only time she smiles and is happy for a second. Im literally literally so tired of it. I don't want her around me anymore. I've been crying all day because I genuinely don't know what to do with or for her anymore.. I just need someone to talk to, other than the ones that knows me or her. Because they just don't get it or understand it. They brush it off and I'm literally drained with her.

Nappy Brand

When I went on maternity leave, I was gifted a nappy cake from a charity through my work. The nappies were out of their packet so I am unsure on their brand & want to know before using.

Does anyone know what brand these are? Added a picture for reference!

Doctor made me uncomfortable

My husband slipped down the stairs while holding my daughter last week so we took her to the doctor to be checked. She had a little rug burn on her forehead but was perfectly fine and her normal happy self. Because it was a last minute visit we didn’t see our regular doctor & this doctor checked her thoroughly… including the inside of her vagina.. I’m not wrong for being uncomfortable with this right? My daughter is 10 months old and this is the first doctor to do this and when I said “why hasn’t anyone else done this?” she goes “oh uh good question”..

Breast feeding AND bottle?!

Heyy mama’s, I need some help or advice or even some experience. I’m expecting in about a month and my husband wants to help with feeding so I’m not getting up every 2 hours. I am going to be breast feeding and pumping as well and he wants to help bottle feed (breast milk) in-between so I can get a bit of sleep. Do you think bottle feeding might make the little one not want to breast feed? Does it usually work out to do both? Should I avoid mix feeding? Not too sure what to do..!
