Small opening

I’m 8 week PP and there’s still a small bit of my wound that will not fully heal! It’s only surface level but one day it looks like it healing well then the next it’s open again. It’s only a tiny area and I’ve had antibiotics already. I’ll see the doctor about it when they open again next week but has anyone else had this and can give me any tips on helping it heal? Previous advise was let it open to air but that’s really hard while caring for a baby!

I had an opening in my wound, I went to the gp and she put an iodine patch and a dressing over it, they then prescribed me more dressings and I would leave it on for 24 hours then shower with the shower head running over my scar, pat dry then use my hair dryer on the cool setting about 8 inches away for 30-60 seconds to make sure my scar was dry then would put a dressing on, it healed up within a week, but before that it had been open for about 3 weeks, hope it heals up for you, it’s so frustrating especially when you want to be back to your normal self ❤️

Keep it dry. I had to stuff a small tshirt down there. Or gauze. If you keep it dry it should close. Also you might want to get a maternity belt to keep it tight so the skin can touch and heal. I also say you may still want to take it easy even while having the all clear to do stuff. I went back to work and my wound opened. I had to quit my job because of that and waited for awhile so my wound could fully close.

Its a really difficult area to heal because your tummy overhangs it after birth so it's not getting air or drying out very well. After showering i started gently holding my tummy up and getting a fan on it just to really make sure it was dry and i would lie on my back for a bit now and then so my tummy was off it and let it air out.

Did you get a colostrum kit from your midwife? (NHS)

I had my 36 week appointment but they didn’t discuss colostrum or the birth plan, is that normal? When do they do the birth plan with you?

Rolling yet?

My LO is 16 weeks and not rolling yet. We have done a couple from front to back. But not back to front. She likes to sleep on her side and gets angry she can’t get there herself.

My oldest didn’t roll until he was a lot older but I wondered what everyone else’s January babies are doing.

What week did yours start to roll?

How many lines can you see? 🙈

I am so confused and feel like I’ve got line eyes! My period is 4 days late (never am!) and I’ve just started spotting a little yesterday. Do you think doing a digital one would be clearer or won’t pick up hcg as well as strips?
