Best start maternity grant

Hello I am eligible for the best start maternity grant. I applied on 1 may with an email to acknowledge application on 8 may. I just wondered if anyone else had an idea of how long it takes for them to look through my form and accept or decline it? I am due in the next 8 weeks and hoping to get the bigger stuff like cot and car seat with the money as I can’t afford it outright. The baby box team have accepted my application so worst case scenario I will have that as a temporary sleeping area. Many thanks

Chermside coffee date

Hey Brisbane mums! I’m a FTM with an almost 4 month old. Would love to connect with other mums and little babies. Myself and a few other mums from this app are meeting up for a coffee date. Monday the 1st of June at 10am at Table 26 Westfield Chermside (Woolies end) hope this works for everyone, if not most. Just seeing if other mamma’s would be interested?

Hey girls, when I went to the toilet today I had some brown discharge when wiping. I rang triage straight away and they have told me to monitor it. Has anyone experienced this? I’m feeling very anxious as I’ve had a loss before

Friendship loss

I keep losing friends…idk I just keep to myself too much and then I end up never going out so I insult the people I’m friends with and they eventually don’t reply anymore. I also will hangout with my family as opposed to them or just try to avoid any big hangout groups. I don’t like big crowds of people so I prefer one on one hangouts.

But I’m noticing that I have a small friendship circle and family circle. I just was never one to be around a lot of people. I used to have a lot of friends but I always lose touch with them and then I end up alone again every few years or so. It’s funny I prefer my own company most of the time but then I get into these phases where I try to make friends again. 😭I want to do hobbies outside of the house but I have no one to watch my kids and those events can be expensive…l’ll have to find a cheap hobby..
