What are your induction stories? Were you able to deliver vaginally or without pain medication still?
This is my second pregnancy and I’m a little bit older now. With my first I was 19 and now I’m 25. I really wanted to experience a natural birth all around and go into spontaneous labor. We hired a doula, took birth classes, the whole 9.
I feel like making a birth plan was such a jinx. I am so uncomfortable at 40+4 and have an appointment to discuss inducing on Thursday but I’m scared this will result in a C-section or epidural.
I don’t think either make birth less special but I am in recovery and was hoping to stay far from pain meds if possible. Would love to hear your stories and experiences!

I was induced at 38 weeks; I was meant to have the balloon however when it came to inserting it, they couldn’t as i was 2cm so gave me a sweep instead.
They took me down at 1:30am and broke my waters. I delivered vaginally with gas and air but baby was in distress and i refused a c section so they opted for an episiotomy instead to be delivered with forceps x

I was induced for my first and delivered vaginally without pain meds! It's definitely possible. It didn't even cross my mind to ask for meds during labour.
Definitely needed pain meds for the duration of having the balloon catheter in. That was horrible (sorry to say..)
