Bedtime Routine

My LO is just over 6 weeks old and we’ve found she’s starting sleeping about 7-8 hour stretches at night. We have always fed on demand and never set any routine but she seems to have settled into a routine of feeding about 6/7pm and then will wake about 2/3am and then go again for another 4 hours.

How can I adjust her bedtime so she goes to sleep about 9/10pm so we can get an undisturbed night sleep.

I know we are so lucky for her to have this routine this early but would like to see if possible to move her routine back.

Honestly? I'd just enjoy it. I know that's not particularly what you want to hear 😂 but their sleep changes a lot as they grow- you could amend the schedule and have more wake-ups, earlier mornings, less success with naps etc etc. Or spend time slowly working towards your ideal timings and have the sleep cycle change then all that effort was for nothing. It's very normal for one or more wake ups through the night for a long time. Ours was a very good sleeper but still had one night feed until she was over 1 year old. I just wouldn't start holding out hope for a full night's sleep for a while.

Sounds like you have nailed a routine. Just go with it for now because it WILL change

Yeah as above I wouldn’t change a thing 😅 it’ll happen naturally as naps etc change but otherwise (honestly) I’d just go to bed earlier x

Topless Sunbathing

My baby is 10 months old and prior to being pregnant, I'd have no worries about sunbathing topless (in an appropriate setting like my garden or on holiday where there are no children). Since having the baby, it almost feels inappropriate now. Thoughts?

When does it get easier?

I have a 1 year old girl and she’s incredible but I’m just waiting for it to get easier. I think it did (a little bit) get easier at the 6 month mark but now at 1 I feel like it’s gone back to being v hard and… I’m not sure. Is there an age you get to sleep again? Or not be in pain (breasts are still sore).

TLC for boobies on the larger end of the scale.

Breastfeeding mama here, and my poor boobs look like a sad elephants ears - huge and droopy.

Any recommendations for nursing bras the actually offer support and lift? I’ve never been a fan of underwires but if that’s what it takes to stop me kicking my tits when I walk then so be it… these non-wired ones are no match for my bazoomas right now.

Also, what breast pads are we using? The disposable ones get scrunched up and trapped under the boob, the inserts fold over on themselves, and the reusables disappear with socks in the wash. At a loss here!

What time do you wake up?

This is a random question but, what time do you wake up realistically as a SAHM?

Has anyone had anymore visits from the health visitor since baby was born?

Mine is 8 montns now, and I only had my health visitor come to see him 1 time. I don't really know how often or how many times they are suppose to visit you, but when I had my daughter, I remember seeing them more than I have seen them when I had my son

Sleep regression and co-sleeping/contact naps

Does anyone co-sleep and contact nap to get their way through the sleep regressions? My little one is going through an 8 month regression and we contact nap again and co-sleep when the night gets bad, am I creating a bad habit? Will he get out of it again on his own? I don’t know what to do 🙈
