3 and a half months

What kind of work do you do? It really depends. I think it's more to do with feeling ready to detach a little from baby - for them to no longer have 100% of your attention... The actual physical recovery doesn't necessarily take long at all, depending on what you consider recovered. I'd almost say 2-3 weeks to feel like I'm getting a handle on things and my body is feeling a lot better - but at that stage I'm settling into motherhood and not ready to give baby even 1% less of my attention. And even with my body feeling better, technically I may still not be fully recovered for another 3 to 6 months as my body is still finding it's way back to normal.
Then there's mental changes to work through.... That could be different for everybody but for me I was mentally ready to work and craving it at 4 months, but overwhelmed at the thoughts of baby not being ready. By 6 months if they're developing well I felt ready

I have friends that went back to work at 3m, they either couldnāt do the sahm life or they just really miss work (they did have mat leave they just didnāt wanna take it) My salsa teacher taught dance all the way till 39w pregnant and came back to teach at 2m, now sheās just had her 2nd (danced til 39w again) and has been announced sheās coming back to teach again at 2m pp. Some mums go back to work/hobby/dance very quick for their own reasons.

I went back after a month to childcare, but my mental health was terrible. I had recovered physically but was not ready to be back and quit after a few weeks. Iām hopeful this time I will be able to cope betterš«¶

I think it depends on your body tbh and how many and how frequently you're having babies my first pregnancy after the six weeks I was good but went back to work 3 days after leaving the hospital but guilt and PPD was really bad my second I didn't go back to work and healing that time was a bit faster but a was really active before and after that pregnancy but that last pregnancy that one took awhile to heal from and 3 years later I still have some core weakness but she was also my hardest delivery and I finally started back working a year after she was born
