Mmmm no only no food and not even 12 hours

My hospital say the same except they allowed tiny sips of tap water only - not even bottled water was acceptable but they said that this was because people drank waters with added flavours or electrolytes etc so saying no water or tap only eliminates that risk x

No food from 10 pm onwards, the previous night.

No drinks means, (no tea, coffee, juice etc...) plain water you can drink, without any flavour. On the day of test, after giving 1st blood sample not allowed to drink water, until 2 nd blood sample. May take 1 sip, if you are extreme thirsty. This is what I remember.

However, that sugary drink which they will provide you to drink after 1st blood test is too sweet.

If you are still in doubt, please don't hesitate to call and check with them. Good luck xx.

Plain water was fine with mine and you could even drink water during the 2 hour wait, maybe it's different for each hospital trust. The letter said no water in the 2 hours but when I got there they said I could have water during those 2 hours and I had to have 2 GTT xx

Soft spot anxiety

I’ve suffered with 6 years of infertility, 3 miscarriages and finally got pregnant via IVF and had our beautiful boy in April, I’ve always been an anxious person but my the anxiety that comes with being a mum is enormous!

Anyone I’ve been rubbing his head dry with a towel after his bath to dry his hair, and all of a sudden yesterday I just became so unenviable anxious about his soft spot and the fact I could of hurt him or caused some damage, my husband has tried to reassure me but my anxiety is absolutely eating me apart thinking the worst 😭😭

Third baby?????

Debating if I want that third child lol. I already got my boy, and my girl that was born last September. I’ve always wanted more kids but once baby number 2 came, definitely changed my perspective on everything 😂 I’ll be 35 this year and if we do decide on having one more, definitely want to try before 40. Anyone else? Any mamas wanna share their thoughts on this :) no judgement here !

Anyone throw up more in their second trimester than their first?

I was lucky in my first trimester because I didn’t experience any vomiting, just really bad nausea.

Now, the nausea has definitely subsided but I can feel my body physically changing and how it’s putting pressure on my stomach. I’m even more sensitive to what I eat and sometimes it gets so cramped so quickly that I throw up.

I’m bummed because I was really looking forward to the second trimester and feeling better. Anyone else dealing with this? What’s helped?

Dose it feel different announcing your 2nd pregnancy compare to your first pregnancy?

I’m 20 weeks and only 10 people know I am pregnant! I don’t know what it is this time but I feel more cagey about announcing my pregnancy this time around! I’m so excited for this baby and I’ve been waiting for 2/3 years. I announced my first at 15 weeks and announced the gender at 18 weeks but this time I’ve managed to make it to 20 weeks and I just don’t know, I don’t feel like the need to tell people like I did with my first! My husband is super excited to announce it but is patiently waiting for me to be ready!

30 weeks pregnant - bladder!!! 🫠

Omg I have the worst pressure on my bladder, it’s not sure it’s just a feeling like I constantly need to go to the toilet. Is this normal?

I have such bad health anxiety and fear the worst. 😭 be kind.
