Stressed out

I'm at the end of my rope atm. My boy does nothing but complain, put him down, complains, holding him, complains. I can get nothing done. The house is an absolute tip because If I even try to do anything he starts giving off and crying. I have washing piled up that I can't get put away, I barely get 10 minutes to hoover. I can't do it when he sleeps because he will only sleep on me. His sleep is also awful at night and I'm functioning on 4 hours of very broken sleep a night. I have no help and have no idea what to do. I'm considering putting him into daycare just so I can clean but I hate the thought of putting a kid who can't talk into daycare or sleep training but again the thought of leaving him to cry for any amount of time stresses me out. Someone tell me I'm not alone here and others are struggling because atm I feel like a massive failure.

Yes, mine is the same and my first baby was even worse 🄓
But as a second time parent I know this phase is temporary and it will be over and one day you won’t remember what it was like anymore. But for now I just take him with me to put the washing in or put washing away, sometimes I cook with one hand and other times pop him on the floor in the kitchen. I know it’s not easy but it will be over soon.
I know everyone has their own preference but I wouldn’t put a baby into childcare to clean. Your house will be clean soon but their childhood is very short xx

If you can afford a cleaner, then I’d recommend getting one round once a week to help. It’s helping us big time! And cheaper than a daycare.
As for laundry, same as above, I take him with me next to the washing machine and he’s obsessed with it now. And he can be outside with me when I hang it on the line.

It’s so hard isn’t it! I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. To get anything done I literally have our little boy in the carrier or carrying him in the other arm, it’s literally exhausting and my shoulders and back are ruined šŸ™ƒ we are also considering getting a cleaner too. Sometimes he’s happy to sit in his high chair or cot but I have to give him a performance and a song whilst I’m doing whatever I’m doing! It’s not easy at all so I feel your pain ā¤ļø

Get a baby wrap and wear him. It’s what I did with my daughter. She was the exact same way as how you describe your son.

And then get everything done that you need done

No advice for the napping as mine does nap but if you really feel like you want to put him in childcare it really does do them so much good socially over time and you can have a bit of me time and time to do a bit of tidying. Have you tried taking him for a short walk in the pram to make him go to sleep then leave him in it while you get something done

My boy is 8 months & is the same. He's my 2nd so I know this will not be forever but it is so hard & very frustrating. I called it the trapped stage because I constantly had a baby strapped to me. My girl was the same but I'd say her Brother is slightly worse. I wish I could help you out, I know how exhausting it is. Feel free to message me if you need a rant or just someone to talk to xx

Will he go in a walker? When my 3 year old is at school 'my 9 month old follows me about doing hoovering washing etc. I just keep giving him random objects to inspect and play with. When i am putting it away if he's awake I sit him on a bed with toys and sort it all out into piles and then move him with me to each bedroom to put it away. Long winded but I have music on and keep talking to him. Mine has a slight strange obsession with our hoover so he's delighted when it comes out. Xx

payment for nursery’s

Hi everyone, I’m in desperate need of some local advice/help and feeling so stressed.
I’m a single mum and I’ve just been offered a full-time warehouse job starting this Monday. My 2-year-old son was literally just accepted into my dream childcare place full-time starting Monday so I can take the job.
The problem is the nursery has just sent an upfront invoice for Ā£164 due tomorrow before he can start. I’ve been on unpaid zero-hour sick leave for the last 4 weeks at my previous job so I have Ā£0 in my bank account. To make things worse, Universal Credit has messed up my payment today, leaving me with nothing.
I’m terrified I’m going to lose this childcare place and have to turn down my new job on Monday over Ā£164.
Does anyone know of any local Shirebrook charities, emergency grants, or fast-track crisis schemes that can help a working mum cover an upfront childcare invoice in 24 hours? Or has anyone been through this with Universal Credit and managed to get an emergency advance or Flexible Support Fund payment sorted over a Friday?
Any advice or lifelines would mean the world to me and my little boy right now. Thank you so much x"

Is this ok lunch for a 2yo?

He snacks a lot throughout the whole day on fruits/yoghurt, but his biggest meal tends to be at lunch time and he doesn't often eat much at tea time. Am I feeding him too much at lunch or letting him snack too much?

Disclaimer; he doesn't always eat everything but I like him to have a variety of options on his plate aswell

Intimacy

Hey mamas I have a question and a little vent I need advice on.. my husband has constantly made me feel it's an obligation to give him anal and nothing else. I've done everything he's asked for 9yrs almost. And now I am tired of it. Anal does not suit me and it doesn't please me. My husband this morning since I refuse to give him what he wants told me "you'll regret it when I find someone else who will do it" 😭 like come on I never get to enjoy sex but he does. And when I refuse him he gets like that. I've allowed it for 9yrs since our son has been born. No vaginal just anal and my body is hurting. My ovaries hurt, and sad part is he kept saying we could have a 2nd baby and only ever wants anal 😭 I'm now scared from all the anal he's put me through that I might not be able to have any more babies 😭😭 does anyone know what I can do. I really don't have anywhere to go and no vehicle. I'm sad and feeling betrayed. We used to have actual sex before our son and since he's been born all my husband ever wants is anal.

What happens when baby drops percentiles?

My 10 week old just had a weigh in and dropped from 25th to 9th. This is the second time she's dropped although her weight itself has increased by small amounts. HV says not yet concerned but if next weigh in is another drop we'll need to see the feeding team. I've already seen the feeding team when I tried to BF as baby didn't gain weight and they were unhelpful. I gave up and switched to formula and it helped her gain some weight but my baby just doesn't like to eat. Otherwise she is alert and doesn't seem distressed. She's seeing an osteopath for reflux and that doesn't seem to bother her as much anymore. She's been assessed for tongue ties and oral dysfunction and all normal, she's just lazy.

So far advice is just to feed her more but she doesn't want to. I've tried offering a top up after an hour and she's not interested. If we force her to finish her bottle she gets angry and just spits up. I don't really see what the feeding team could do and would rather just bypass and go to the next step if anyone knows what that is.

Won't stop crying or sleep

My baby is 10 weeks old today and he screams for hours. Like he's been awake since 11am and it's 6.20pm now. He feeds like a gannet and it's the only time I can get him to stop crying. My latch is good and no breastfeeding issues but he's on the breast so much that my nipples are red raw and I dread it every time. If I pick him up or try to soothe him he cries more so I have no choice but to leave him. I'm on my own so if I don't I can't eat. I just want him to settle but I'm making everything worse and am terrible at this cos all he does is cry. Nothing seems to work and he's cried himself hoarse which is just horrible to hear but I just don't know what to do
