Belly band

Hi ladies, I’m from the uk. London specifically. I asked my doctor about belly bands given after a c section at the hospital and she said no, apparently Im the first person to ask her this. I thought it was normal practice? Although I didn’t receive one for my previous two but I thought they would if i asked. After my second section my insides felt like they were all falling apart and it was difficult to walk, I know a belly band would of helped loads with feeling ‘put together’ if you know what I mean. I’ve also read and heard about a lot of mamas that have used one to help with this. This is not by all means to lose weight, but a belly band to not feel like all my organs are on the floor! I wanted to ask, for those that have previously used one, which would you recommend? And did you wear one right away like on day 2?

Could be an American thing! lol

So I do live in America but I had no clue about the belly band until one of my nurses brought it in and said it should help a lot. Which it really did. Thats sad if you cant. Can you ask someone at the hospital about it before hand that way they can give you a definite yes or no. I hope they do.

Def an American thing.

The belly band is amazing especially after C-section. I think it’s just an American thing though.

Idk where you’re located but I’m in the US and the first time they just gave me one. I was too fat so it didn’t fit and I definitely had the organs falling out feeling. This time I asked for one and it fit and my healing felt like it went much faster

I got it i want to say the 2nd maybe the 3rd day. And yes I put it around where my csection incision was.

Induction - small baby

I am 38 weeks + 2 days now and since my baby is on the 7th centile, the consultant recommended getting induced at 39 weeks. Any similar induction experiences? How are things for induction specially at Kingston Hospital?

2nd baby?

I had a pretty rough ride with my first baby who was born sept25 but I’ve always dreamed of having 2 babies.

My first question is, if you struggled with PPD or found it hard with your first - did you experience the same with your 2nd?

My second question is, what do you think is the perfect age gap? I was always going to wait until school age of my first but as he is a sept baby that’s going to be 5 years..I don’t want to be out of full time work for nearly 10 years as I love work. So I’m wondering how long others left it?

Just any advice would be lovely as I’ve been thinking about it a lot (I shouldn’t be cos I’m only 8 months pp😂🫣)

When to have sex after c section postpartum

Help!! They don’t really tell you when it’s ok? I’m 2 months PP and my partner is like hello … I need to know when it’s safe and what the risks are. I feel like my healing has been slow. And when did you first have sec afterc section and how did it go?
