So, my girl woke at 6 am this morning, had her first nap at 8 am for 40 minutes, had her second nap at 11:40 am for 2 hours?! (She’s super grumpy and clingy recently, so I let her sleep incase it was her teeth or poorly) and now she won’t have her cat nap for bridge to bedtime. Her bedtime is around 7.30-8.30 pm.
I know this is probably because she had such a big nap but my parenting skills don’t go this far 😆, do I keep her up and start bedtime earlier and get her to bed for like 6.30-7 pm or keep trying the cat nap? My only worry is this wake window would be MASSIVE if I do 😆 she’s 7 months in 3 days.
Thanks in advance 🥲🤣

When this happens with my LO if I even try to out her down before 7 30 she fights it more like she knows it isnt really bedtime. Keep trying with the contact nap. Last nap I feed on the sofa and let her sleep on me for 30mins just to Bridge :) good luck

You’re lucky she’s napping 🫣 My 6 month old daughter has such short naps ! How do people find the time to do stuff in the house with this ?? 😩 She’s also gone off her milk 😣

We tend to follow the Taking Cara Babies wake windows. This was my boy this week though, I tried for a short nap around 4 so he wasn’t overtired but still had enough time awake before bed. Sometimes he’ll happily skip the nap though! The other day it took 45 minutes to get him down, only for him to wake up 25 minutes later 🥴 he’s always been awful with naps, bedtime isn’t much better either 😅

I have to do the last nap in the car otherwise it is a fight !
