Yup but I remember with my son the closer it got to the end the more and more it felt like he was going to crawl out my urethra 🤣 apparently it is normal! X

Yeah I'm 25 weeks and feel the baby kick and move low down. It's normal but can be uncomfortable because of the pressure. Xx

New mumma by c section

so my beautiful baby girl was born on Tuesday through c section. Due to me not dilating quick enough.
So I have some questions on like belly , swelling

So my feet are still really swollen is this normal? What’s everyone’s experiences when did it go down?

My belly this is probably gonna sound stupid but I just want to know. So I still look like I have a baby in there 😅 and I wondered what other mommas did to help the belly back to normal. Obvs I can’t go back to the gym yet so wondered what I could do in the meantime that’s safe whilst healing ?❤️‍🩹

C section ledge

Does anybody know how to get rid of that dreaded c section ledge?
I am hoping to find some exercises to get rid of my c section ledge/ tighten up my abdomen again when my scar has healed, any tips or tricks please?

Postpartum symptoms

Hi Everyone ,

My baby girl was was born on May 8th , it was my first c-section which so happened to be unplanned.Fairly traumatic birth but feel extremely lucky that the doctors made the call for an emergency c-section. All to say that after having my daughter I am on blood pressure medication until my 6 week visit with my OB. I have been experiencing very strange symptoms and wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this . Both my thighs and ankles have been red and warm , feeling and looking like a sunburn. I was at the ER twice this week because the oncall OB was concerned about a blood clot but luckily it got ruled out via ultrasound no clots in my legs. Has anyone experienced this? I am going to be checking in with my OB to see what they think it is. The ER said that it was a rash due to an allergy but the weird thing is its only on my legs and that it is happening in the evening. Anyone experiencing something similar?

Any one changed their mind about birth options?

On paper my pregnancy looks high risk but these are the individual circumstances:
- Inflammatory bowel disease - well controlled no meds no flare since first trimester
- Iron was low, had infusion now back to normal levels and being maintained at last blood test
- Have Gestational Diabetes, few high morning readings, refused Metformin due to possible bowel disease flare trigger so put on nightly low dose insulin (forgot to take insulin for a number of nights - no spikes).
- Had a additional growth scan between 4 weekly appointments after 13 days due to triage visit for reduced movement. Was an unusually busy stressful day and I couldn't remember if I had felt movements. All was fine (saw a few Braxton hicks on ctg - baby manage them well). Baby moved on this scan from 88th centile on individualised growth chart to 93rd centile. Sonographers commented baby's limbs were akwardly placed to get measurements. Baby is only 60th centile on a generic growth chart.
- Had another routine growth scan 2 weeks later baby back (just under her line) but the plot comes up red as a reduction in growth.
- Preferred plan was to birth naturally, go to full term (40+6 agreed) without intervention and hopefully use MLU.
- Decided would accept consultant led birth as continuous monitoring available and happy to have it if needed.
- Started insulin and suggestion for 39+4 induction made. Agreed and said that will get cervix checked if favourable and method of induction is acceptable will accept otherwise will elect C-section.
- Based on growth scan date has been moved to 39 weeks on the dot for induction.
- Going weekly for scans - this week to check cord blood flow and fluid (always been good).Week after growth scan.
- C-section is being discouraged as second baby and first was natural birth, also measured big in scans but was 25th centile.
- Movements have been great last few weeks. I feel happy and healthy otherwise. Baby is in optimum position and moving down into pelvis.

Based on all of this I'm thinking to refuse induction at all and let myself get to at least 39+4 or even push for them to leave me alone until 40 weeks. Anyone changed their mind later and refused? When I asked initially to be on MLU they booked me a call with the senior leadership team as I was making a choice out of hospital policy. Would they do similar if I say no to induction at next appointment? Also does anyone know if I can request a diabetes midwife in my consultant appointment because the last consultant was awful and she lacked people skills.

Feeling huge!

Is anyone else feeling like the skin on their bump is tighter and even stretchy leggings feel as though they dig in and leave marks?
First baby so unsure if this just the joys of hitting 37 weeks 😂 hope everyone is doing well and hopefully a bit of a cool down in weather
