How are you giving food pouches? I’m not sure how often to give them to my baby. He’s mostly having bottles but I’ll give him half a small pouch midday just for a taste & he’s doing well with them.
With them just being fruit / vegg could he have one as a meal rather than having half a pouch then a bottle
Thank you

Not at all is my answer🙋♀️

Not at all until 6 months

@ some mothers of 4 month old babies will be on this group and some 4 month old babies are advised by paediatricians to wean early due to various reasons.

My baby is doing fine with the pouches but he’s doing very well for his age. He’s 4 months and having the 4+ pouches and porridge. I’m asking what other mothers are doing with feeding food pouches but ty for telling me when you guys are starting

Shouldn’t really be having them. Their digestive system is not ready for it and even pouches which say 4+ months that’s only if recommended by a doctor and it’s pure marketing sadly

Not at all at this age unless I was advised by a paediatrician. But with my first once he turned 6 months and had the odd pouch, he would just slurp it straight from the pouch

I’m not- not until she’s 6 months old as others said unless I was advised by a doctor (due to the side effects/risks of early weaning).
However it is your baby so you can parent how you would like and I presume you have been advised to do solids for health reasons.
So I would just say do not replace any bottles as developmentally they still need the milk. Introducing solids too early can cause babies to lose weight rather than gain it so I would only keep it to tastes right now☺️

If your baby is drinking milk well then I don't see the issue in starting solids. The reason why they say no before 6 months is because milk should be the main source of nutrition. As it gets to the brain rather than solids. If my baby drank lots of milk then I'd 100% start him on solids.
